Hi,

My 2 ft tank (24 x 16 x 16 in) is one year old. The sump (24 x 24 x 6 in) is behind the tank and incorporates a refugium with 6in. DSB.

LS is bicolour dottyback, yellow blenny, CBS and recently added 3 common clowns. I would like to add just one more either yellow tang to eat up isolated patches of green brush algae but I was afraid the tank will soon be too small when the tang grows big.

Alternatively, I could get a algae blenny. Is there such a blenny or does it refer to any blenny that eats algae? Will it fight with the resident yellow blenny?

Actually, my preference is to add 2 banggai cardinal.

Please advise/comment. :thanks:

algae blenny refers to a specific kind of blenny that eats algae...... it is whitish green in color. do a simple search in this forum, i m sure u can find a pic of the algae blenny....... as for ur algae problem, i would suggest putting phosguard in ur filtration system....... for algae eating ls, u can try the algae blenny or the yellow eye kole tang...... both r as good as it gets....... except u pay 3 to 5 for a algae blenny and 20 to 25 for a kole tang.

i hv both.... :)
