Gary's Marine fish Tank

After my FOWLR, now i going to convert into LPS and softies tank with small fishes.

Just got my new tank 2 week ago, after transfer everything over, this is how it look like. :whistle

A lousy tank with only a few fishes and some softies compare to a lot of the guru here, but hopefully will get nicer as time passes.

Want to thanks bro sole77 for the big rock, which i bond them together into a bigger rock using rock bonder. :eyebrow:

Hopefully can get some pointer to improve my tank. :paiseh:

sediment from liverock or dead rocks or coral. its unavoidable. thats 1 bad thing about going BB. u will always have sediment. unless u blast the bottom with strong flow. that will create problems for ur LPS though. so think about it. :)

I see, hmmm maybe last time used to have sandbed so never notice, ok guess have to be super hardworking and clear the sediment every 3-4 days. Thanks for the quick answer. =)

i like yr new scape better....gives a perspective of space and more pleasant to the eyes.

You can still add sand if you want...provided you catch all yr fishes...BB tank requires strong flow at the bottom...but yr LPS may not be able to tahan the strong flow.

Usually SPS reefers will have BB tanks...last time Reborn used to have a LPS "almost" BB display tank, but with a very thin layer of sand...that's all.

Hi Bro AHSiang i am thinking of putting a thin layer of Substrate like CaribSea Florida Crushed Coral, Geo-Marine Formula from reefdepot or Natures Ocean Live Aragonite Substrate from aquamarin. Is it a must to catch all the fishes? Dun think can catch them out. :eyeblur:

Btw Which one is better for sandbed? Anyone has any experience to share Pro or con? Thanks. =)
