i've got 2 questions to ask regarding clownfishes...

1) how would i know if my pair of clownfish are paired up?

is it because they keep swimming together no matter where they go?

is that how we tell?

2) what are signs/behaviour of a breeding pair of clownfish?

What clownfish? Based on my research, the females are usually up to 2x bigger than the male (not true for all), and if they are paired the male will usually be following the female everywhere she goes. There may be occassional chasing by the female but the male will submit to her. Male clownfish are such a letdown to the male gender! Lol

Our clownfish experts prob can explain more. I believe clownfish tt just laid their eggs will be aggressively guarding their eggs.

common clowns i guess...

because at times my pair will be together wherever they go,

at times one can be on the left side of the tank,

one will be on the other side.. haha...

i doubt mine is paired up...

they are both more or less the same size...

the bigger one is just slightly bigger in size only...

both of them are still quite small?

If they are, maybe gender has not established yet.

One will start growing bigger.

How long have they been added into the tank and any signs of aggression?

i think like what jacky said, they're still young...

i only added them in less than 6months ago...

no signs of aggression...

my dream is to have a pair of true percs and a pair of black clowns peacefully living together..

but i know thats quite tough to achieve right.. haha...

my current pair of common clowns do sleep together as well..

on top of my brain....

hopefully over time i'll get to see one growing bigger than the other...
