sorry to hear that,

its either ur midas is ill, or got bullied.

it happened to me before, it suddenly stop coming out and later went MIA totally when there is ni aggression at all.

but hope urs is just agression problem.

these cases are hard to solve when there is not enough information from your side.

all the best.

Genesis 1:20

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

Not referring to midas blenny along, I did experience new fishes gone hiding after 1-2 days of show attraction.

The following couple of days were suspense and worries.

And when I did a routine water change, walah!!! I see the poor chaps rotten body slowly flowing out from the back. How sad! :cry2:

part of this hobby, dun let it bother you too much.

happy reefing.

i'm using the 3 feet redseamax tank,

have the following fishers:

1 purple tang

1 blue tang

1 maroon clown

1 orange clown

1 wasser

1 sand digger goby

1 mandrian

1 algae eating blenny

1 midas blenny

if its indeed an aggression problem, first suspect will be the maroon clown. the purple tang could be quite aggressive too. algae blenny might have some tiffs with your midas blenny since they are conspecifics. wat wrasse is that? some wrasses are fierce.

provide enough crevice for the midas to hide and they need meaty meal. For dwarf angel, yes, it can be kept in reef tank but they are not 100 % coral safe...u need to take the risk....

dwarf angels can be kept in a reef tank. although there are some risk. golden angel is not very reef safe. have seen it nip corals a few times before. plus, they are super extremely shy fishes. your current livestock will kill it.

lemonpeel angel is a definate no. one of the worst dwarf angel in terms of reefsafeness.

potter's angel is till considerable. some what like a flame angel. 50-50, but also depends on the individual fish

no guarantees, heard of potter angel have higher tendency of touching on corals.

perhaps you can try flame angel, might be safer than potter IMO. btw, they love zoas, brain coral and prata.
