How does Skimmer works?

Hi All,

Just bot a skimmer and it does not seem to work. Can anyone advise how skimmer work? Need tweaking and how to? My skimmer is Sander maxi-skim.

and yes, you'll need to tweak your skimmer. how to, I don't know.

break in a week or longer....depends one really....tweaking means to play around adjusting until optimum results loh

i just run my H&S, it breaks in within 2 days............. now 3rd day, got skimate lioa...........

breaking in of skimmer varies from individual skimmer.

tweaking just means the adjustments made to say. the air valve or the water level.

bought my weipro 2012 and weipro pump 3000 last friday, setup it up, ... cos no sump, and with OHF, have to hang at the side of tank. but dont fit ... hence, need to modify piping ... finally, it sit on my window grill with hooks ... need to adjust the knobs quite abit ... tweak the pump knob and skimmer knob lower ... water level inside skimmer is up till the neck ... bubbles circulating quite fast ... but havent had kopi-o results ... something like chinese tea ???
