Algae grow well on glass. I experience it when I light up my scrubber in the sump The sump area where the scrubber is located is heavily coated with algae.

you juz dug up a old 'myth' hehe , for some reason , i have one part of the glass in my tank that the algae could not go off! even i use a pen knife blade!

Actually ... i juz target feed one cube of prawn meat ( soak in zooplankton and vitamin C ) once every 2 days.

hmm... tank still quite empty ... plan to wait for nitrate to become 10 ppm then add more LS.

After using 600g biohome for 2 weeks , my nitrate has gone down from 40 to 25 ppm . Seem that biohome really works!
