did you shift it recently or sometime back?

and how long you have it and how old are your lights?

If a man could beat his own fantasy. Then to only breed in captivity. Then its pointless.

Genesis 1:20

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

how long has this been going on.

i agree with bro law on his questions. tell us about the lighting too.

Didn't shift them, bought these together with the rocks so its practically attached to the rocks. Had them for 5 mths already, it was opening up as per normal. Its been going on for a mth already.

Lights i'm using are 4 HO T5 for about 5 mths.

the previous owner did use MH for his tank so i don't know if this will effect the zoas? but if so the first 4 mths its been doing well opening as it should be.

for me, when these occurs. normally its because of lighting. Perhaps you should wait and see or simply spend the money on changing your light tubes.

sorry Eniram, I could only able to help you this much.

for T5, the europeans and the richy rich americans suggest to change T5 tubes every 6months or a year.

for us(most of us), the more conversative, changes about once every year.

MH bulbs about 9-12months as well.

depending on source of brandings for each individual as well.

so are you going to be richy rich?

LED, I believe its longer.

perhaps you should shift that colony up higher for a few weeks to see if lights are the cost. for me when I shift zoas down to lower level, their tentacles will be shorter and they open not as big as before. so play around with location.

it was nice sharing with you Jeremy

happy reefing
