DIY Life rocks ?

Hi Guys

Anyone tried DIY your life rocks with cement and coral chips and argonite b4 ? seen it people done it online b4 ..wonder if any sporean try it ? Mi thinking of doing some for fun wndering how it will go ?anyoen with experiences to shared ?

DIY liverock tends to be very heavy and dense. I used portland cement mixed with coral sand and chips. It took almost 2.5 months to cure. Get real live rocks its much better,

ic .... I was thinking more along the line of using some piping/bio balls for the inside of these "rocks" wonder how it will work anyway not in a hurry to it up, curently do have some live rocks sitting away in tank... haiz will setup my system next month

There will come a day when the supply of liverocks will be so restricted that we have to settle for cultured ones or DIY our own.

As it is, supply is dwindling already as a few LFS got fined for liverock importing.

I believe the supply is regulated by the AVA but demand is growing as I see many newcomers to the hobby.

thats quite true whe i first gonna my life rock 2 yrs back it was nly abt 4-5buck per kg, nowadays I think more ex lor...

In fact, compared to the 'decorator' rock sold online ours is pretty dead.
