Just one last thing to note about the PAR38, is the shimmering effect, quite nice and realistic (as when your in the reefs) i could say. For now since i'm only using 1 lamp, there are some darker areas specially at the back, but for now it's still ok i guess. The bulb indeed gets hot, but i could still hold the heatsink fins though. Here's a close-up. You could see the shimmering against the wall, which can also be seen in the sandbed and rocks.

Ac bro ... also liked the maxspect, but seems inhabitants found em too bright. my clown was hiding behind the filter since, and the bubble hid in it's shell. i guess i have to hang it like yours ... haha your starting to evolve also bro.

I've attached 2 pieces of white acrylic as light diffusers for my set, and so far I've seen polyps opening much bigger. Since you're staying somewhere near where I work, I can pass 2 pieces to you to give it a try. Kinda wasted, since we are restricting the LEDs from its full potential, but better than not using it at all.

Its used with the MaxSpect. Helps to diffuse the light so it will not be so glaring and pin-point. Still bright enough with 1.5 Ft height.
