I like the scape!

wah the tunze really right at the bottom... so poor thing!!! What do you mean by water getting messed up with stuff all over? Is it salt spray?

thanks bro comy. that's actually only 3 pcs of live rock, epoxied together. that's an older pic yesterday before i moved the tunze. i already removed it temporarily. yeah facing it against the wall, blows a sandstorm. the least is, you can see some sand starting to move around. facing it up, yeah salt spray quite some. so decided to take it out first and figure what to do. btw, the light here for now is just a CF, still have to get mounts for the maxspect.

Have you tried placing the tunze on the right side of the tank (about mid position) pointing to the cleaner module sruface skimmer. you can shift the cleaner module slightly outwards away from the back wall - this will help to reduce some of the current by trapping some waves between your cleaner and back wall. your cleaner pack will also have more effective surface skimming.

Let it run for like 10 mins and see how it goes. The sand might start to shift a little along the sandbed in the beginning. This is normal. If it is slightly turbulent at the back wth gentle waves at the front, it is ok.

If it still fail, maybe you need to go get a nano wavemaker liao.

I place my Tunze 6025 on the left side, pointing diagonally upwards towards the front panel glass, using it as a deflector. Works for me. I get pretty good flow, and no sandstorms. I've used both the K1 and K Nano together in my tank, but didn't get the flow I wanted, so made the switch. So far I'm happy with it.

peacemaker's tank is about your tank size. so 6025 should be ok.

thanks peacemaker, Jacky. Yeah I guess I've limited myself in trying to put the tunze at the side walls, always tried behind (aesthetic reasons). Will give it a go tonight.

here's a question ... i started to see some "poo-like" thingy (cylindrical, maybe less than 1mm long) suddenly started to float (from the live rocks?) ... and later on sinks to the sand bed. now i see A LOT of these scattered. what exactly are they ? sorry no pic for now ...

I see that a lot in my tank. prob some critters in the live rocks clearing their den.

ok thanks. so no need to siphon them out ? i'll probably be doing some 'movements' tonight. reloc the 6025 to the side as recomm'd, and maybe reloc also the filter to go with the 9002. can probably give me some room to try to clip the leds.

how's your clown doing and do you have mico bubbles leaking into the tank from underneath the skimmer housing?

yeah. clown's doing fine, he's alone (for now ...). initially first few days that skims leaking microbubbles like hell ! after some days, seems gone. i already remembered what you did on putting sponge under, but i guess for now it's ok. now wondering if i get bro fuel's picasso pair, for sure can't mix em ... and 'she' likes him, so will end up setting up the pico tank most likely ..... anyway will see how it goes.

yes. scratches on acylic tanks are unavoidable one.

I think I will be changing my tank 2 years later.

just move the tank only. will not be much bigger.

That corner prob 2 ft max.

or maybe a 1.5 ft tank with a 1 ft Seahorse/pipefish tank beside it.
