hmm..actually my return pump it is not very strong..and they intro me a wavemaker which is nano one but i not sure about the detail..and they into another one is what bonyu or what i not very clear and i dun really not sure which wavemaker should i use..and the reason why i choose 1ft tank is cause few years back i got a 2ft tank and that time i have this hobby but ended up wasting lot of money in marine and at last i give up.so now my thinking is try from small tank first and learn from small tank first..so need all expert here to advice me haha!thanks ..

hmmm 1 feet is even more difficult to maintain. you need to be very on the ball with husbandry chores.

Those standard 2ftx1ftx1ft plastic tank is usually good for a start.

but if you have bought the 1ft one already, its ok. make the best out of it.

Is it a 1ft x 1ft x 1ft?

If you couldn't succeed in 2ft tank, then 1 ft is even harder. I suggest not to even start then coz you will waste more $$.

Smaller tanks have less room for error, and require more dedication in what you are doing. 1 small fish dying in my 3ft might not affect the system too much, other than a spike in nitrates and some algae growth. The same fish dying in your 1 ft will crash your tank and you will lose all your livestock and corals, and say again tt marine is a waste of your money again and give up.

Don't make the same mistake twice. If you are serious about the hobby, read up more and dedicate more time to maintaining your 1ft tank. Otherwise, go for a bigger tank. A 'cheap' alternative I can think of is to link your small 1ft tank to a huge refugium/sump. Can be any tub or toyogo box. This way, you have more gallonage to buffer your system. Just some suggestions.

Sound so discouraging... lol but there is a tad of truth to it.

It's a sad cycle tt happens all the time. LFS will be v. positive and say of course can maintain nano tanks. That's true too. I'm sure your tank will be one of those tt will be successful Jacky. TS has to recognize the hard truth in the difficulty in maintaining such tanks and not think its just a matter of putting in water and fish and corals and let the filter do its job.

I always stress knowledge is impt in this hobby. Don't need to go into details and learn rocket science, but some basic knowledge always helps.
