Recommend skimmer for 1.5ft

Hi,

Could anyone recommend an efficient skimmer suitable for my nanoreef (1.5ft by 1ft by 1ft)?

I am currently using the air stone type AA brand. It only manage to skim out yellowish water.

I dun ve a fan or chiller so temp is a prob. Hence, i would prefer an external one.

For ur tank, i think a skimmer like weipro would not be a good idea. I would reccomend sander skimmer which i have been using. Have been skimming dark green skimmate for me.It is very compact as well. It works the same way as ur current skimmer but it's definitely much more efficient. Unlike ur skimmer which has to be dip all the way in to a achieve a yellowish skimmate, i only dip around 2.5 inches into the tank and thus, not much space is taken in ur small tank. So far, i have only tried sander skimmer lah. It's around $40 i think. If you are loaded, there may be other better options lah.

2011 needs a powerhead and it will look really ugly in his nano tank. The powerhead will increase the tank temp as well. And besides, there is no need to use a skimmer rated up for 75 gallon tank when his tank is less than 10 gallons. Any other reefers got other good reccomendation for spidermanx??...if really good and efficient, can change it for my own 20gallon as well..hehe.

You might also want to try out the neatly design red sea prism skimmer.

I've been using this. Not bad. $40. Slim design but not vent skimming just normal air skim but works nicely. When i first set up my tank.. it even skim out bluish water.. scare the hell out of me hurry wash all my sand and new water.

Is it true that i do not need a skimmer? But i tend to have lots of diatoms on the glass. I change 30% water every 2 weeks and wash all the filter media.

I am interested in the sander skimmer. But can i get it from petma*t? How does it look like?

Lighting is 2 x 15W PL Ocean Free extra bright light (actinic n white)

Anemone and jewel is doing very well. Think is because the tank is shallow.
