Hi bro is it energy saving compared to the smaller model ??

It does take shorter time to cool a tank if compared to a smaller model cooling the same tank...

But not sure if the electricity used will be lesser...

It will definitely be more energy demanding when compared to smaller chiller but it will chill down your tank much faster, thus shorter time. But then, if you read the past post, the start-up is always the demanding part. The question is whether you want to have an overkill chiller or getting the right balance. A 1/4 can support up to 4ft. PPl will go for 1/3 to go for assurance. What is your tank size?
