New Tank set up without Skimmer

I intend to set up a new three feet reef tank.

I read about the algae scrabber system with great intrest.

It it possible to just have algae scrabber with out skimmer?

you will need time to ensure your tank is matured with all the necessary bacterias. If you are keeping fowlr, be patience. If fishless, should be quite fast. Good to learn more from reefers here to ensure success. Setback is always demoralising and prevent one from keep going.

I have a working example 300L FOWLR setup. started it last December, relatively heavy stocking, feed 8 times a day, and not done a water change since last Dec.
