Dear all,

I'm moving into a new place soon and would like to furnish it with a spanking new 3x3x2 tank.

Can anyone advise me on tank makers?

Has anyone ever bought materials and paid only workmanship cost to tank makers?

Thanks in advance!

Allan

p.s. can a mod please help me move this to the setting up new tank section? didn't see that when i posted.

adding on , is there really a big drastic difference between kapur and chengai wood? kapur looks dense and strong to me as well

reason for asking this is because chenggai are lower in availability and due to this its pretty ex, and seriously even if you are quoted chenggai and given kapur, i dont think i will even know

I think chengai has more "waterproof" capabilities, thus the price difference.

That is why some of the outdoor platform are made of chengai.

Structural wise, both can support the tank.

Eqpt: Deltec MCE 600, Tunze 6055 with Tunze 7091 controller, Artica 1/15 HP chiller, AquaIllumination Sol Blue LED Light System

2011 resolution : Do it simpler, better and in an easier way!

My honest opinion is at the rate everyone decomms and setup new tank, it doesn't really matter. lol but I got chengai too, for tt extra peace of mind.
