why is my Domino scratching ?

hi, need help. past 2 days, i see my domino going to one of the LRs and looks like scratching his gills or something, doing it maybe 3-4 times at a time, then go off. maybe half an hour or more later, does it again. any idea what this kind of symptom is ? i tried looking at him closely, i don't see anything unusual or different on his scales or gills (the area where he seems to be scratching).

he has a parasitic disease. likely ich. i will not worry...damsels are hardy.and ich will go away after awhile. feed more and do more water change

Fish has no hands, itchy need LR to help them scratch

If you have cleaner shrimps, they might help to clean the fish too. I wouldn't worry too much. As long as they still look healthy, eat like pigs, breathe normally, swim in open waters, will shrug it off. Damsels are super hardy.

i bet on ick as well, but flukes can infect the gills of a fish as well. but thats uncommon. so take note of that.

thanks all ... yeah he still eats like a pig, seriously, and quite active. will just monitor then ... just got worried a little since the recent passing away of my clown

i think i having the same problem as u... my tang is scratching itself on the LR...

so far 2 common clowns died... then recently 2 percula clowns died...

seems to only attack clowns...

do u have any more clowns left, better check them out or isolate them as recommended by bros here if you see some symptoms, including ur tang. my other LSs are ok, except for this domino. though after a recent 20% water change I did, I almost don't see him scratching now, and still eat like a pig, but quite a bully these past few days.

no more clowns left... haha~

other LS are ok... just the tang... but no spots on it...

just occasionally scratching... any medication recommendation?
