How should i manage my lighting system

hi everyone..am using 2x250W MH 14 K with two ATI T5..forgot the watts..but was just wonering how should i manage the timing for both lights as i realize too much light can cause algae to grow..how should i manage the lights

Run the MH @ 5-6hrs a day and T5 @ 7-8hrs a day. If the algae still persist, continue to cut down the MH timing. That will helps to controll the algae growth

ok..so around what time is the best time to start the MH.right now i am switching it on around 7.30pm at night to 8.30pm..as last time it use to be at 7.30pm to 10.30pmthe T5 are well managed..just worried abt the MH
