Chiller in JBJ N24C cabinet ?

  1. 1. How many of you house your chiller in the jBJ N24 cabinet?

    • I keep it outside.

dun take the risk bro... the ventilation is definitely not enough... unless ur cabinet have DIY fans to extract the heat out..

bro I wouldn't take the risk. My chiller is in hidden in one small corner and I can feel the heat buildup quite abit even though there is sufficient ventilation. You will need some really powerful fans to keep the cabinet cool, not worth the risk.

I'm sure with a bit of creative thinking, you can house the chiller beside the tank w/o it looking out of the way. Maybe create some sort of stool like an inverted U so that you can sit on it while admiring your side view. At the same time when you are mixing water/changing water or doing any other husbandry, you can use the stool as a stand/table. :)

Just an update for those who are housing the chiller in the JBJ cabinet.

I have used a fan to cool down the temperature in the cabinet.

It is actually quite effective.

The fan is a 12Vdc 0.37A computer fan and it works great.

1. JBJ C-breeze to keep temp hovering around 27-28'C

2. LED clip on - 120 bulbs

My 3 humble equipments that keeps my tank running... [DRIED OUT]

1. The RSM itself of course 2.My NEW Deltec MCE-300 Skimmer 3. My trusty Arctica Chiller

Tank parameters:

Temperature maintained at 25.3'C to 24.7'C

No3: 10ppm(b4 the use of the deltec skimmer)

No3: 5ppm (after use of the skimmer)

Others? too lazy to measure...LOL
