How to DIY fans.

Anybody can provide any links or advices on how to DIY those computer fans to become usable for our tanks?thanks I had tried searching but the link provided was no longer accessible.

actually not too expensive. the DIY one is too bulky..

the selling at LFS is alot safer. n give u safe pc of mind.

I've been using the LFS AC fan for 3 yrs and still running strong, I think Edmund selling for $38. Quite good price I guess. Not too sure how much you can save by DIY in this case cos this can clip on to the tank and the angle is adjustable.

is it? you're just lucky maybe. many people would rather DIY because LFS sold ones are very succeptible to suffering from salt creep.

I wanted to get one initially before I got my chiller/4ft monster. until I found out for myself that those 4-in a row types...after a few weeks, one after another, they will all go.

this fan can last for 3 years !!!

but the bad thing i dont like about DIY fans is that they dont have the clip to clip on the tank and u can adjust it.

the product sucks.. the other one is better.. last longer lol

the noise level is very low

and can cool down by at least 2 degree or more

i also bou a twin dc fan for $45 b4, but spoiled after 5 mths. Now I diy my own DC fan...bou at sim lim which cost me oni $12 (one big cpu fan * Dc connector), if u don't have dc adaptor add another $8, see the diff

I believed those clips are from those normal portoble fan. He just remove the fan and recycle the clip
