Turbo snails dun eat red slime (cyano) or brown slime (diatoms). In fact there is no confirmed creature that will eat any of these.

How to solve/reduce bad algae problems

Cyano are caused by excess nutrients in the water. You need to get a better skimmer, reduce your feeding, or get nitrate and phosphate absorbing media to get rid of it.

diatoms are caused by silicates in the water. The best solution is to wait it out. It will become eventually manageable after your tank has matured. If you want a short term solution, get silicate absorbing media.

It happened to new tanks... My case, i can't stand it so went to buy silicate/phosphate removal resin. Then it got under control.

Gradually, it got lesser and lesser. But now facing green algae pro...

Where to buy nitrate n phosphate removing stuff? How to add them to your tank? Can put them inside a hang-on filter and run it in the tank?

I use seachem gel...It supposedly removes phopsphate and silicates.

i used a chemical called red slime remover and it works ..
