Fake ZEOvit products hit Asia

"Heavily discounted ZEOvit products began popping up in Hong Kong roughly one year ago with reports of them being fake. Now some are saying these knock offs are spreading to Taiwan and different parts of China. We cannot confirm that these truly are fake ZEOvit supplements, after all we don’t know what exactly is in ZEOvit. However, there has been enough noise on this topic in Asi, that it is worth noting if purchasing ZEO items there.

Reefers in China are saying the labels look nearly identical; some have stated they look photocopied. The bottles themselves are truly identical, but this is because the cobalt blue PET bottles can be purchased from many plastic and glassware suppliers.

True or not, this is heads up for those aquarists in Asia–seek reputable dealers."

Not sure if this will hit Sg, but ZEOvit users should be on the side of caution.

Thanks for sharing! It is important as i know reefers do go to Hongkong to get better discount products there.. Not sure if ZEOVIT product is one of those.

yeah do pls pass the word ard! I certainly wouldn't want to get the wrong end of the stick and result in any harm to my tank if I were sourcing for a cheaper alternative.

ZEOVIT product is very useful and alot of people uses them world wide therefore such problem will arise. but those problem in china taiwan and hongkong come from non-reputated lfs like what its reported.

so dont have to worry in SG. furthermore, in SG the percentage reefer using zeovit isnt alot so no point selling fake 1, end up waste more $ LOL!

haha agree. If I wanna use zeovit, I know where to go! Reliability is most impt.
