i find that they are not fussy about lighting and can tolerate both strong and weaker lighting.

i have mine near the top under 4x24w T5 and they seem to be happy there. other reefers have successfully kept them on the sand bed using T5 and still find them doing well.

you could probably get away with a spot that you choose for them to your liking :)

thanks for the advice once again straydum.. decide to place mine on the sandbed..

bro should be ok de la lol did i poision you =.= either way mine is top and mid of the tank using 4 tube t5 only so far so good ^^

lol.. you didnt really poison me... i was nearby pasir ris today, thought i pop by pinnacle to check out their mini carpets.. all the hype about it, had to go take a look :D

:chair: :chair: :chair:

They are meant to be on the sandbed... But they should be okay with being on the rocks.. They dun really need very high lights... T5s should do fine for them...

glad to hear that.. hope mine will do well :)

instead of posting a FTS,

i shall post a FTV (full tank video :yeah:)

nothing special to begin with,

done it with the help of a movie maker on my com..

you'll see quite a few repeated photos and scenes,

please pardon those..

too lazy to edit into the details,

i just threw whatever pictures and the most recent video clip i have on my tank..

did this in 20mins++..

enjoy,

and dont fall asleep

some new additions:

purple anemone

another rock of GSP

Red Scooter Dragonet

You only got 1 male red scooter?? Din get a pair..

Be careful for the purple anemone, it is a sand burrower and will require slow flow if not it will fly around.. Very nice when stable used to have one..

thanks...

got it from the shop in front of ahbeng, 1.5red notes...

dont seem to be too much of a mover..

placed it at the bottom on the sand bed,

lying against one of the rocks,

settled in very nicely there..

already in my tank for about a week,

it has been at the same location since Day 1,

so i can assume that it has settled comfortably.. haha..

nope..

only got 1 male.. haha..

the anemone seem to have settled down at his current location...

there's moderate flow pass it,

however doesnt seem to affect it much...

is it possible that my anemone is the one described in the link?

http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=497+499+637&pcatid=637

Seems like the same but H. Crispa and H. Malu got mixed up very often.. But i named both as Sebae anemone.. LOL...

hey guys,

for the past 1 week,

my skimmer had been skimming out red skimmate...

similar colour to that of Kent Marine ChromaPlex..

i'm curious to know what could be the cause,

did my corals not absorb in all the phytoplankton from ChromaPlex?

i've been dosing this for the past 3months or so,

however skimmate only started turning red last week...

i'm concurrenly feeding Phytoplex and Zooplex as well,

all 3 dosages have been divided 3 times, fed every alternate days to avoid overfeeding/polluting the tank..

NO3 maintained at 5ppm,

PO4 at 0ppm..

coincidentally it started about the same time when i started feeding my fishes Dainichi pellets,

could that be the cause?

all corals and fishes are doing fine,

no signs of anything out of the ordinary...

if your livestock is well, just leave it and observe. i wouldn't be too worried on my skimmate color.

looking forward to see you later.

Genesis 1:20

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

feeding on frozen food immediately after introduced into tank....

not sure if it'll take in pellets,

mouth might be too small for it..

wow, cute fish u got there, haha. hmm how about crushing the pellet and try feeding it?
