Male splendid leopards are very rarely brought in. if brought in, usually in very few pieces and large sizes

for leopard wrasses, some species are not sexually dimorphic. meaning both male and females look the same. examples are choati leopards.

some like meleagris and splendid have males and females looking different. and in these 2 species, the males are very seldom brought in.

Ya true meleagris are much nicer  .

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.

not 100%. chances of them fighting each other halfway is higher than chances of one of them turning into a male. and it takes a long time for one of them to morph.

but you can try. it's not impossible.

i had 2 females in my tank b4. took 3 mths b4 1 morph to male.

yup. it's not impossible but there's always a risk involved. usually they just kill each other before one morphs. have kept the meleagris females before and 1 morphed into a male too.

arghh.. so sad to hear that..

NO3 currently at around 25ppm..

PO4 at 0ppm...

guess i've to try to reduce it further..

feeding for my only fish has already been to the minimum..

gonna do a WC again tomorrow..

hopefully it falls further..

so the remedy to this is,

improve water quality,

and feed it well with nutritious food?

NO3 at that amount is not going to contribute to HLLE.

but NO2 and NH3 is. a slight amount will going to burn their skin. remember tangs are scaless. and then you recently did a shift, for sure there will be some die off and filtration shaken.

all the best.

and when you coming to pass me the tub?

If a man could beat his own fantasy. Then to only breed in captivity. Then its pointless.

Genesis 1:20

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

yah hoping that happens to mine too. But mine are rather juvenile. Approx 1.5 inch only. Might have to wait longer.

thank you for sending the tub back to me.

my choati leopard hides for 2 weeks. I thought its a goner but it came out after that period.

so no worries, just observe first.

Did your splendid wrasse appear?

NO!!!

i've the urge to stir up the sand bed to find it..

but i'm not doing anything as yet..

gonna do water change tomorrow,

hopefully it'll be out...

IMO my water parameters are fairly ok,

dont see why it must still be stressed/scared...

i didnt add in any fishes or corals since the addition of it..

sigh..
