i do not know whats wrong,

but my bubble coral suddenly without warning just closed right in front of my eyes...

it has never happened before....

its been doing fine since i got it about 2 weeks ago,

even after my timer's off for the lights,

i'll still see the tenticles out and tiny little bubbles..

just now my timer kinda didnt work,

so i was testing the lights,

i turned on and off a few times,

do u think that will cause the bubble to suddenly shrink?

i've never seen it shrink to such a small size before...

then the pair of cleaner shrimps i have starts to go round poking it...

could there be something in there that suddenly went in???

now the shrimps are not poking the bubble anymore....

the bubble is really big and nice when opened fully...

i hope it'll open tomorrow...

i've turn the lights on again,

hopefully this will cause them to open up..

what should i do???

Bubble is probably stressed and adjusting to your lights. It's the one you got from me right? My tank is super bright and I got 2 separate photo periods, 4 hours of light early in the morning and 4 hours of light when I return home. You'll probably need to give it some time to get used to the new environment. My cleaner shrimps will also dig the bubble sometimes, especially when it has just eaten :P

Give it some time to get used to your lighting period and observe what are the times it tend to open.

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate.

And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Your photo period shouldn't be the problem though. Anyway I set 2 photo periods cos nobody is home in the afternoon, no point having the lights on when the house is empty and return home to see dark tank haha.

minor light shock i guess.

Which is why some people have a weaker light turned on before eventually fully turning all off. But i myself do not use those high tech lighting systems though.

Bubble corals depend more on light, Mine goes to "bed" once lights are off too.

Seems you were as shocked as them.

Brown SPS > Kinder Surprise

White SPS = Kinder Surprise after expiry date

Assumption killed the dinosaurs, they didnt have test kits.
