i think we tied like 11 pieces together .. then times up ... had to clean up before wifey comes home...

so took all the remaining rocks with the scape and dump them into the tank 1st.

Currently only skimmer running.

need to top up with more water before I can run my carbon :(

Ok regarding the rocks... all small small pieces... palm size....

Tried to glued them and epoxy.... does not work... waited 30 mins and try to dry them using hair dryer... simply useless.

Thankfully Karl give a helping hand and we drilled and cable tied the rocks to give it a secured foundation.

Wow...so karl stayed until 6pm??? :eyebrow:

hehe you know my fire drill timing ..... yah. I had to send him away during 1 - 2 pm coz of a conference call.

He came back at 3+ and we started work. left at 6+. Then its quick quick pack, clean tidy up.

normal hand drill. (use wood or metal drill bit , not wall drill bit)

I dip for the 1st few.... then gave up coz too tedious and was in quite a mess trying to scape.

But it is better to dip coz still have some critters inside...

I saw some pods as large as domestic cockroaches at CF!!!

Hey Karl, forgot to thank you for your help.

would not have been so successful at setting up the foundation right without your suggestion and assistance.

Thank you thank you :)

Did you dip your other corals in your tank?

when ya free, show us pic of your tank. :)

Update:

Did not manage to do anything to my scape today.

Brought my girl to bed and I could not wake up until just.

Too tired.... will continue tomorrow.

For the corals tub, most of the frags recovered already.

Very happy to see all the polyps opened big big.

Now just waiting for tank to be cycled and transfer them over.

bb good in terms of decom or kept clean no diatoms on the bottom

can suck out poo easy too without creating sandstorm

sand is good in having gobies which bb can't :'(

looks nicer sometimes too

would like to try BB bro.

Anyway the live sand I had was too fine.

The whole lower layer became compact and harden too fast.

hard problem siphoning too because they are too fine.

If I don't like BB, then prob will add grade 1 or 2 sand in.

this time will be white sand.

Can most gobbies survive without sand?

yashia for example?

Are they like clowns relationship with anemone? Good to have but not life threatening.

But I do need a second wave maker to direct the flow in the tank though.

i wd not suggest bb....u need a lot of flow....a thin layer of sand i/o thick layer will be better....

maintenance wise also more tedious for bb...
