I actually tried a super concentrated dip tdy on one of my small pieces of LR as one of my mini plates fell off and I wanted to stick it on the LR.

8 drops in 250ml of NSW, dipped the LR for 10 mins. Within 1 min, 2 worms fell out and mati. Then put my mini plate inside as it was injured, half of it was jelly. Dip for 10 mins and all the jelly disappeared. Stuck the mini plate to the LR and dipped both in fresh NSW for 1 min. Then put back into my tank.

Doesn't seem to have any ill effects on the mini plate. The half of the mini plate that is not injured has expanded normally.

Normal concentration is 30 drops per 3.8L so I should have 2 drops in 250ml. What I dipped my LRs and mini plate in is 4x the concentration and no ill effects found. :whistle

HMM,

what's wrong with worms guys? haha.

can you all donate them to me? I like them! :D

Anyway Jacky, give yourself and the rocks sometime between transfer from LFS to your tank to acclimitise. You'll definitely encounter some mini cycles in the tank which is pretty alright, but I am not sure if that's gonna affect the corals ultimately. So yeah.

And not be to bias or something, I read and had seen too much hassle and trouble with Tunze's skimmer to suggest to give it a miss especially when you're considering to go heavy with your bioload. Alike Prizm, the consistency in water level means everything to them, so without a proper ATO, you can be tuning your skimmer nearly eveyday! :S Also honestly, I wouldn't support for a MCE300 either because I don't find the overall of the skimmer that good. I will rather ask you to go for MCE600. On the long run, you see a much much fantastic result (:

marc... the worms are mostly dead when we see them inside the pail after using coral rx to bath them.

you want dead worms i got many hahahaha.

przim skimmer is working great for me, i just tune it once.. everyday just top up water and it will "resume" the regular level of skimming for my case.

1 flame hawk and all corals for a 12G nano tank is skimming out good poo.

nevertheless,no doubt in MCE600 if i got the $$, prizm is for budget people like me :paiseh:

Think I need a flower bath soon.

Met Karlyau and went to CF to get rocks. I saw the rocks 2 weeks ago.

6 - 7 big big tubs of them. My girl was cranky so I did not pick them up that day.

The minute I reach there, saw some foam boxes all packed. thought shipping out corals or fishes.

asked auntie how much are the rocks?

Auntie said .... All packed.... sold..... if you want small pieces, there are still some left.....

Sob sob... took a cab to go down and got disappointed.

looked at the small pieces of rock.... too small..........

then  maybe I can glue/ epoxy them ....

I know it is going to be a challenge but i always wanted to try something like this....

So here goes

..... will post more pics after the scape.

a lot of gluing and epoxying needs to be done. Anyone has any tips?

We also bought some zoas. looks quite nice under daylight.... hopefully they will look even much better under LED.

The cost of these zoas are <10% of GO pricing!

at least double the size even! lol.......

Use industrial size plastic restrainers/cable ties. The kind you use when you kidnap people. :pirate:
