Bro,

you need to set the white balance in your camera so that it will not look so purple. Use the white balance setting option and point at either ur white or gray glass magnet and shoot once. Shoot at the side that is in the water.

I used to have LEDs and my pics turn out exactly like urs until i do the white balance. Alternatively, go through whatever preset light mode (ie flourescent,tangsten etc) and see if any of it corrects the purple look.

Just shoot in raw mode and then use the canon software to adjust the white balance. After that convert to jpg using the software. Easiest way to do it.

lol, do it! Just joking. I love ur tank set up and see that u have invested quite a fair bit so i felt obliged to pop in and tell u about the white balance. Not fair that u spent so much on the light and the pictures don't do justice. A bit kaypo here. Don't mind me .heheee

go to white balance option

step 2)

point at the magnet in the tank with ur leds on. take note that the magnet has to be white or light grey for this to work.

3)

if done correctly, you should see the color change immediately on your LCD

Happy photographing! It is as much joy as reefing. The photographs will serve as a chronicle of your reef development and also memories when u decomm. But purple pics just aint gonna cut it.
