wah bro peter, how do you dose it? mine not cloudy after mixing the bio clean in the water i took out from my tank, i mixed it, then just pour it in my sump compartment with liverocks, no cloudyness encountered...

any bros able to input what they saw? lol

bioclean really works as my tank doesn't have new tank synd.. :D

The cloudiness is only when i dosed Reef booster in my tank. When i first dosed it, it was fine for like 30 mins, after which I found my tank turning slightly cloudy and 1 hr later, it was super cloudy. It only cleared up about 4 hours later. Basically I just dosed it right from the capsule into my tank. Anyway, this was what it stated on the instructions on the box. On their website, it mentioned to dilute it with tank water and then pour it into the tank. Which is correct? I really have no idea.

The next day, after I dosed reef booster, I dosed bio clean in my tank. My tank doesn't turn cloudy when i dosed Bio Clean. It isn't supposed to since bio clean is just bacteria and trace elements.

The pic in my post above happened after I started dosed AZ NO3. Over the last 3 weeks, I have been using AZ NO3 to control the nitrates in my tank. It has been doing a pretty good job, keeping my nitrates at ard 10ppm level, highest is abt 25 ppm and that is when i use Henry's Reef Gourmet the previous night. Previously without using AZ NO3, my nitrates will increase to between 50-100 ppm within 2 weeks. Right now, I have not changed my tank water for about 1.5 months and the nitrates are still maintained between 10-25ppm.

Now looking at before and after using Reef Booster and Bio Clean, I can only say that my skim mate production has probably increased 8-10 times and looking at the way AZ NO3 is reacting in my tank now, I can only presume that the amount of nutrients in my tank is way above what it was previously.

My Setup:

3x2x2 tank with IOS

Thanks for sharing. I will do some water test and start dosing P clean 1st.

Will post updates on this.

Twilight zone #1

On another note, I found this bug/pod on my zoas last night.

It has a hard shell and I had to use a little strength to pry it out last night using a pair of chopstick.

Any idea what it is?

Its underside: (its a little dried up already.)

Eqpt: Deltec MCE 600, Tunze 6055 with Tunze 7091 controller, Artica 1/15 HP chiller, AquaIllumination Sol Blue LED Light System

Who could have moved it there?

Its has been moved 10 - 15 cm back and the orientation is changed.................. ???

Be careful with Reef Booster. They work as well as Amino Acids but just be careful with the dosage especially with a nano. You do not wish to cause immense cyano outbreak due to that (:

This goes the same for any Prodibio products.

However, if you got nothing to lose from the start, Prodibio products are kind of like a good way to start things off on the right track. Been there done that and volia! :eyebrow:

Happy Reefing,

Thanks for the heads up. will dose the bioclean to get my bacteria count up 1st and will be careful with the Reef booster dosage amount.

Nasa snails are pretty strong too! They use their borrowing advantage to go underneath and un-earth stuff that are on the sandbed. Nuisance crabs don't show up much until lights out, so you might wanna do a spot check in the wee hours.

you can drop some food into the water and shine yr torch to catch them..usually these hitch hikers are very sneaky...my crabbies only comes out when i m feeding my fishes and corals.

do you have wrasse/s in yr tank...sometimes when wrasses dived into the sand, they will shift the rock also....

Hey, So I am going to set up a pico tank to house frags. (too small? whats the minimum reccommended tank size?)

Is it viable? Going to use it to house zoas frag only.

Prob create 3 level of crate stands

Going to use just T5 16Wx 2. (Question : Can the Dymax clip on LED be used instead of the zoas frag?)

Gonna use a HOB Eheim Liberty filter.

Using fan to keep temp low.

Not going to be connected to main tank cause I do not want the pipings/ tubings to run all over.

Possible or a waste of time?

Thoughts thoughts?

Peter,

This rock is like 10cm x 7 cm.

And the whole rock was moved like 10 - 15 cm away lah.

Cannot be fishes.

Pico tank...wat size? 12x12x12 should probably be the min size you should be looking at. Any other dimensions and probably will end up being to short/narrow/low etc.

3 levels of egg crate is reasonable but must ensure that enough light can reach the bottom level. Otherwise you can put zoa frags at the top level and other frags and the lower 2 levels.

Your question seems to have something wrong...Can the Dymax clip on LED be used instead of the zoas frag?
