MarcoVan
2ppm Phosphate is not "some" , i think it is quite a lot right?**gulp.... Hmm, kind of. Especially for a nano :X but well, like Peter said, grab some GFO and try to reduce that level (: - dosing so much additives and then do water change that lower the readings.... it is like slapping your left cheek with your right hand.- wanna reduce nitrate and phosphate, thats why changing water but end up with higher nitrate and phosphate. ... this one you slap your right cheek with left hand lol All I know now is that I see two big red cheeks! *jokingly* Anyway on a serious note, I think what you can do is to draw up a chart to predetermine your dosing and water change schedule. Run like a week or two weeks long of tests to see how much your inhabitants are consuming on the addictives, kH and calcium. Through these series of test, I hope you are able to see a pattern happening in your tank and from there, pinpoint specific date of the week for each specific task (: you get my chain of thoughts here?wonder what is the salt mix readings? Anyway, presence of phosphates and nitrates are inevitable for new tanks or semi-old tanks. It takes a while for everything to run in and eventually hit a consensus note which minimal effort is required to keep everything going. So hang in there bro, continue doing what you have been doing so far. I do see some progress in your nano so don't let it down. A kite will only fly higher if you pursue in the course of the wind and determined not to let it dwindle. I am sure your nano will go as a kite, only up and not down with your current diligence in handling your husbandry (: Happy Reefing, Marc J. Quote Happy Reefing, Marc J. Thanks for the encouragement Marcus. Yup surely will press on. On the charting, I think that is a fantastic idea. Was planning to draft a table and log the dosing routine and basic husbandry (changing of carbon, SORB 4) But need to decide on the source of WC 1st and install my Eheim 2026 1st. Else it will be difficult to interpret the readings and changes with those variables. Will try to do a WC with DI water this week and see whats the reading like. Thanks for enlightening words of wisdom.
