relocation of the mushies.

The red mushrooms are literally under shelter.

only 1 polys is exposed to light.

Let's see how they fare after this.

from this

to this

Ray, I have detached your mushroom and place them in the rear with low flow and light.

They are residing on a small piece of coral chip on the sand bed.

The flourescent mushroom has been send to the side at the back.

Since this is going to be a 3 sided view tank, I guess I can start filling the side up too.

:yeah: thanks bro! =]

Met a few nice reefers today. CFoh, Lorensia, Thairun.

Nice meeting you guys. Let;s hook up some other time.

A lot of good ppl in this forum :)

bought the supersuns from Lorensia.

this is how it looked when I got them.

Left home and came back 2 hrs later.....

supersuns 1

supersuns 2

I cannot stop looking at them Lorensia.

Now I understand why you find it so hard to depart them.

These are from Thairun.

Thairun , in case if you come across this post, I am sorry I had to rush off just now.

My baby was crying. Let's chat more next time :) and your tank is awesome.

Are these 2 too close to each other?

This green monti is too huge.

If anyone wants a frag, pls let me know.

I have no idea what SPS these are.

Let's hope they survive in my tank.

I really like the green one.

The supersun on the sandbed has a polyp that is not fully opened. (bottom left)

Should I move this coral up on the rock instead? Pls advise.

No need. just squirt some coral food at the polyp that is not fully open and it will open up in a couple of minutes.

suns and super suns love places with dim lights and very good flow :) in fact, most important for them is the flow. its interesting to note that it is extremely common to find sun corals growing upside down, horizontally, vertically, and in almost every possible degree of orientation in the wild. mostly on rocks. so it doesnt really matter which way you put them. so long as they get their flow and most importantly food, you are good to go.

spawning does occur in the home aquaria. its a very interesting sight to behold as they release planula lavae all over your tank. and soon you will have babies growing on the rocks. i have around 100+ babies but its hard to feed them...so left with 5 big ones now :(

here's a photo from wetwebmedia of them growing upside down. polyps here are not extended. Hope this helps you! cheers
