Feeder pump is used to feed the aquarium water to the skimmer. It is connected to the water inlet of the skimmer. According to the specs of the AP701, it needs a feeder pump of 1000L/hr. You can use any type of water pump for the feeder pump as long as the specs at least match the required flow rate of the skimmer.

I never knew chengai could stain floor, have not seen any stains despite my multiple spilling and splashing of water.

Chengai's more ex because of is stronger due to its wood grain structure. It's v. weather proof too, apparantly it is the material used for making those wooden boats. Carpenter will tell you its durable, can last at least 10 years w/o misuse. But will you use the cabinet for 10 years? Up to you, as always the case, better quality products will be more expensive.

it is not a must but if you want to have quiet overflow and adjustable water level in the overflow compartment, you will need that. However, there are other ways to silence your overflow compartment. If you tank maker is experience, no issue. If not, google and show them.....
