hello all i have a sixline and firefish in my tank and i recently added a banana wrasse which caused my firefish to jump almost immediately. it jumped again today and i think the jump damaged it quite a bit. now its hiding somewhere in the tank and i'm not optimistic about it surviving. the banana wrasse did not even attack or go near it. now my sixline (the most aggressive of the lot and caused the death of two leopard wrasse) is hiding and not coming out.

i've seen tanks where all three coexists together and i was wondering does anyone has tips of how to resolve this?

some fishes to note regarding aggressiveness. these should be palced in last, or not placed in at all.

- six line

- most dottybacks. however i find the orchid dottyback to not bes o aggressive

- certain dwarf angels like coral beauty -_-

- all damsels. with the exception of chromis.

i think koran angel [juv. before adult] is very very agressive too, got my koran, chased the new fishes like anything =.=

maybe it depend on the indivual character, my coral beauty is very very very shy

its true that it depend on individual fish characters. i've experience powder blue that is extremely shy and extremely aggressively. feel that tank size is a factor too, for bigger tank they can "escape" to another territory.

To add, Sohal should be in the top list.

the sixline is behaving really good at the moment. not chasing anything and still eating.

i'm more concerned about the banana and the firefish though. the banana doesn't appear enough to take food and the firefish only came out once for 2 seconds today. will update again next week!

adding in aggressive fishes with firefish is not a good move unless the tank is big enough. usually, 1 aggressive fish in a tank is enough to cause commotion. 2 or more is a riot! hehe. add them in last.

Hey i think its true that it all depends on the fish characteristics had the same problem initially, my 6 line was chased by both my flame and falco hawkfish but after like 3 days its happy family. Hope the 6 line won't kill the others once it matures! Bloody hard to catch!

Coral beauty for me is alright behaving like a normal angel...swimming and minding its own business.....the Terror now in my dwarf angel tank is my pacific pygmy. Just won't get along with the flame back pygmy. I'm on the verge of taking out all the rocks to catch the pacific pygmy! Its one Mega bully!

Anyone out there know how long should i keep the flameback in isolation? SL did mention 3 weeks.....for large season angels

Pls share. :eyebrow:
