:welldone: Surprise Celeb nabs SEXIEST WOMAN ALIVE Title

Posted By Yahoo Lifestyle, Monday, 11 April 2011 13:27 BST

You may never have heard of her, but according to Esquire, she's the sexiest woman on the planet.

Katrina Bowden who stars on US TV show '30 Rock' topped the magazine's annual poll and was crowned Sexiest Woman Alive 2011 by Esquire readers.

Bowden plays 'Cerie' in the breakout comedy starring Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. The blonde starlet beat out some stiff competition for the title, surpassing 2010 winner Brooklyn Decker, Megan Fox and Kim Kardashian to claim the spot.

Receiving an unexpected two million online votes, Katrina told Esquire: "I voted for myself!" The newly crowned beauty also created an acceptance speech video which was posted online, and shows the scantily clad actress posing in various seductive shots and offering some words of wisdom about her big win.

"I was up against Kim Kardashian. And then - let's put it this way, if you say my name and then say Megan Fox's name, most people know who she is but, well, a small per cent will know who I am. I think a lot of the fans of '30 Rock' kind of went crazy with it."

Before becoming '30 Rock's favourite airhead, Bowden appeared in music videos for pop-punk bands Fall Out Boy and We Are Scientists.

The 22-year-old star started her acting career with a guest spot on 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' in 2006 and a reoccurring role on daytime US drama 'One Life to Live'.

Shortly after joining the cast, she was offered the role in ‘30 Rock' as clueless assistant to Tina Fey's character Liz Lemon.

The reason for her unpredicted win could be that her physical attractiveness is a running gag on the show. Cerie is the skimpily dressed intern whose racy outfits cause a stir with her male co-workers.

Since her win, online searches for Katrina Bowden surged 500%.

:thumbdown::thumbdown:S'pore MUM tries to kill THREE filial Daughters

By News Desk in Kuala Lumpur/The Star | ANN – Mon, Apr 11, 2011 12:00 PM

Kuala Lumpur (The Star/ANN) - Three filial daughters in Singapore had secretly given all their savings and ang pow money to their mother, who tried to kill them all on Dec 27 last year, reported Malaysia's Chinese newspaper, China Press.

The three, aged between 11 and 14, are now staying with their grandmother. Previously, they lived with their mother who had divorced their father.

The girls had given money to their mother several times without the knowledge of their father and grandmother.

The 33-year-old mother had tried to kill the girls and commit suicide on Dec 27 because she was in financial difficulty.

Luckily, the eldest daughter managed to escape and seek help.

The mother, who has been working in a nightclub since she was 15 until her marriage, is currently homeless.

"I regret what I had done. I have decided to start afresh and will not give up on life as I have three caring daughters," she said, adding that she hoped to be able to live with her children again.

The daughters said they missed their mother but would not cry in front of her as they did not want her to worry about them.

"I have no more money to help my mother but I will start saving again," said her second daughter.

:evil:Indonesian Lawmaker caught watching P.O.R.N resigns

By NINIEK KARMINI - Associated Press | AP Mon, Apr 11, 2011 9:46 PM SGT

An Indonesian lawmaker who helped pass a tough anti-pornography law resigned Monday after he got caught watching sexually explicit videos on his computer during a parliamentary debate. :chair:

The scandal has transfixed this predominantly Muslim nation since a local photojournalist filmed Arifinto, a member of the staunchly Islamic Prosperous Justice Party, gazing at the downloaded P.O.R.N sites Friday.

The blurred images have been published on the front pages of newspapers almost daily, and reaction has set alight social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Some commenters said Arifinto should be prosecuted under the anti-pornography law that took effect in 2008 despite opposition from the public and some members of the government.

Fifty-year-old Arifinto, who like many Indonesians goes by only one name, apologized to his constituents Monday and told reporters during a hastily arranged news conference he was stepping down from Parliament immediately.

"It's my decision," said the father of five, insisting he was not acting on the orders of his party. "Nobody tried to coerce me."

Indonesia, a secular country of 237 million people, has more Muslims than any other country in the world. Though most are moderate, a small extremist fringe has become more vocal in recent years.

They have pushed through several controversial laws including the pornography law. Supporters say the law is needed to keep the country from sliding into moral decline, while critics say it's vaguely worded and the penalties too harsh.

The law calls for prison terms of up to 15 years and fines for everything from kissing in public and exposure of a woman's "sensual" body parts to displaying "erotic" artworks.

Broadcasting, possessing and storing pornographic material also is prohibited.

Arifinto, who oversees a parliamentary commission dealing with transportation, telecommunications and rural development, was an outspoken supporter of the law.

He was caught watching the video clip for several minutes as fellow legislators debated plans to build a new parliament building.

National Police spokesman, Boy Rafli Amar, said Monday authorities were still trying to determine if Arifinto broke the anti-pornography law and what steps to take next.

"We need to be cautious," he said. "We need to make sure we're not violating any privacy laws."

The anti-P.O.R.N law was used in January to sentence Nazril "Ariel" Irham, lead singer of the country's most popular band Peterpan, to 3 1/2 years in jail after two homemade sex tapes found their way to the Internet.

Last year, the editor in chief of Playboy Indonesia was given two years behind bars.

:welldone:Mustaine: 'BLACK MAGIC ruined My Life'

Sunday, March 20 02:26 pm

Megadeth rocker Dave Mustaine refuses to play heavy rock anthem The Conjuring live - because the track is laden with black magic imagery and occult spells. :pirate:

The singer became fascinated in witchcraft as a teen and he's convinced spells he cast have come back to haunt him.

Now a strict Christian  , he's keen to distance himself from his dark past - and refuses to play his song The Conjuring from 1986 album Peace Sells... but Who's Buying on tour - because the lyrics about black magic still affect him.

He tells Total Guitar magazine, "Performance wise, The Conjuring is one of the heaviest songs on the record, but unfortunately it's got black magic in it and I promised that I wouldn't play it any more, because there's a lot of instructions for hexes in that song.

"Although it seems kinda corny, anybody who's a Wiccan (witch) or a warlock or anything like that will know that all of that stuff is instrumental.

"When I got into black magic I put a couple of spells on people when I was a teenager and it haunted me forever, and I've had so much torment. People say, 'Goddamn, Dave never gets a break, he's had such a hard life,' and I just think, 'No, Dave didn't - he got into black magic and it ruined his life.'

"Fortunately for me, with all the work and the love of my friends, and not giving up with my guitar playing, I got over it. So I look back now and I think, 'Hmm, I don't wanna play The Conjuring'."

:thumbsup:Dolly Parton Back With New Album And Tour

1 hour 43 mins ago

©Sky News 2011

After making music for more than 50 years, Dolly Parton is now back with a new album of original tracks and a forthcoming world tour.

As well as being a global superstar, she is also a philanthropist, and businesswoman.

She owns a record label, a film company, a theme park and a charity which has donated more than 40 million books to children around the world.

She launched the Dollywood Foundation in 1988 to inspire children in her home community.

Helping youngsters around the world - including the UK - the Dolly Parton Imagination Library provides a book each month for each child enrolled, from birth until kindergarten.

The 65-year-old is much-loved and eternally youthful in spirit and looks. I asked her how important her image was and has been to her.

"It's certainly been bizarre but I've always loved a lot of makeup, a lot of hair, a lot of shiny clothes, and sequins whatever," she said.

"You've got to shine when you go on stage and let people see you as a star when you're on stage."

Dolly Parton's work ethic has clearly always been very strong. She started performing aged just 10 and has written more than 5,000 songs in total.

She is now releasing a new album, Better Day, and embarking on a world tour.

It starts in the UK in August and for her, as with many other artists, touring is now a major source of revenue.

"The record business, the labels are all very different to when I started out," she said.

"And of course there's a lot of money to be made touring. You enjoy it and the fans enjoy it but you can make a lot of money as you can selling records.

"(There's been a big change) because a lot of people would only tour a little bit to promote a record but not any more now you do it the other way round."

There's been talk this week of Lady Gaga producing a country album and Dolly's definitely not averse to the idea of a collaboration.

"I think she's great and I've always been really gaudy myself ever since I started in the business and I always get a kick out of the crazy stuff she does.

"But she's very musical, very talented and I think it would be fun."

So will Dolly Parton ever slow down?

"It's a funny thing with me - it's a way of life for me and I never see myself as star, I never see myself as a celebrity," she said.

"I just see myself as a working girl. Not nine to five. I work five to nine, nine to five, 24-seven - 365 days sometimes."

:groupwavereversed:What's the right time for your Workout?

Realbuzz - Tuesday, 12 April 2011 07:00 BST

Knowing when your optimum time for exercise is can seriously improve your health and fitness workouts. Recent scientific research shows that the time you exercise can play a big part in how useful it is to your body. Here's the realbuzz.com guide to finding the exercise time of day that's suitable for you.

Time for your workout … or is it? Does the time of day at which you exercise matter? And more importantly, can you improve your performance by picking the right time for a workout? There is certainly evidence to suggest that the body is more geared up for physical activity at some times more than others. This is due to our circadian rhythms 24-hour biological rhythms that influence everything from body temperature to heart rate, muscle strength to hormone levels and enzyme activity.

As far as most physiological variables are concerned, it seems that late afternoon to early evening is prime time for a workout. In the morning, body temperature is low, the nervous system sluggish and joints, ligaments and tendons stiff, explains Professor Tom Reilly, a renowned expert on circadian rhythms at the Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Science at Liverpool John Moores University.

A study by Professor Reilly and colleagues published in the journal Chronobiology International found that subjects given a set exercise workload at 5am, 11am, 5pm and 11pm, rated their perception of effort highest at 5am. So running at, say, 10kph will feel harder in the morning than it does in the evening, says Reilly.

Other physiological variables that are at rock bottom in the morning include minute ventilation meaning more breaths are required to get the same amount of oxygen into the body and cardiac output; the amount of oxygenated blood pumped around the body by the heart each minute. Whats more, a study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine (2002) found that early morning exercise left swimmers immune systems compromised.

However, sport isnt all about brawn you need brains too! And research shows that people learn new motor skills more readily in the morning than in the evening. In one study, subjects improved most in a newly learned task at 9am. Short-term memory and fine motor control (the ability to do precise or fiddly tasks) are also superior in the morning compared to later in the day which may play a part in overall performance.

And, of course, what happens in the real world isnt just dictated by what the scientists say. If you are a self-professed early riser, then despite physiology being against you, you may perform better in the morning, simply because you prefer to exercise then. Research also suggests that the over 50s are less detrimentally affected by early morning workouts than younger people.

The idea that you should do what feels right for you is backed up by a study published in the Journal of Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, which found that people who always trained either in the morning or evening and were then asked to perform a high intensity workout to exhaustion, did better at the time of day to which they were used to training.

So whats the bottom line? If you can schedule it, try to do the bulk of your workouts particularly the tough stuff between 4 and 7pm. (Its no coincidence that this is the time window in which most Olympic records have been set.) You may just find yourself breaking that PB. If not, then carry on being an early bird. Even the chronobiologists agree that a morning workout is far better than no workout at all.

:evil:Upgrading, Political Diversity dominate Forum

By Alicia Wong | SingaporeScene – 2 hours 40 minutes ago

Is it fair for the ruling People's Action Party to tie HDB upgrading to votes and is the PAP able to accept a diverse range of views?

These two issues drew some of the strongest exchanges between Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and the 12 participants during Channel NewAsia's live forum entitled "Question Time with The Prime Minister" aired on Tuesday night.

"Shouldn't a good government be fair to all citizens regardless of political vote?" asked Ngee Ann polytechnic student Matthew Zachary Liu.

Another, Singapore Management University student Edmund Koh Joo Peng, a Potong Pasir resident, added, "Isn't it unfair to really divide us because we live in Potong Pasir?"

Reiterating the stand he made last week on the upgrading issue, PM Lee said "everybody participates" in national programmes such as defence, education and healthcare.

"But when you have to make a choice who goes first and who goes second, then I think that one has to pay attention to who supported the government more and who didn't," said the PM.

"If you ask the people in Potong Pasir who do they want to make the government... I think they would say the PAP, so too in Hougang... In other words, they are depending on somebody else to vote for the PAP so that they can have the luxury of voting for Mr Chiam (See Tong) or Mr Low (Thia Kiang). If everybody does that, we're in trouble."

"So there has to be an incentive to vote for the government. And going first or second, well, that's just that little bit of difference."

But shouldn't upgrading be based on merit -- for example, older estates get priority -- since upgrading is a "nationwide programme funded by taxpayers", asked polytechnic lecturer Khartini Khalid.

PM Lee responded, "We pay attention to that too but if two estates are equal, then we have to ask who supported the government more."

The other issue that dominated the hour-long forum was if there was enough debate on issues and if there was enough representation from the private sector and blue-collar workers in Parliament.

Said private wealth fund vice-president Kurt Wee, "Many Singaporeans feel that a lot of the agenda the government put forth is bulldozed through without much feelings for the ground."

PM Lee replied, "If we bulldoze agendas through, we wouldn't stay in power very long because in the end, we have to govern with the consent of the people and in the interest of the people.

Recognising the need for more diversity in Parliament, PM Lee touched on the new expanded Non-Constituency Members of Parliament (NCMP) scheme. The recent change allows for up to nine NCMPs, depending on the number of opposition candidates elected.

"That's a lot... nine is enough to form two-thirds of a Cabinet," he said.

Rejecting a follow-up that NCMPs were not "real Opposition", PM Lee disagreed.

"(NCMP) s have full rights to participate in a debate; all debates. They can argue, they can establish themselves and they belong to political parties. These are not Independents."

On the topic of leadership talent, SMU assistant professor and political commentator Eugene Tan asked if the PAP practices politics in a way that discourages people from "jump(ing) into the fray"?

PM Lee responded, "There are very few who miss our net because Singapore is a very small place."

The PAP talks to 200 to 300 people every term (five years) and narrows down the list to 20 to 25 suitable candidates, of whom an average of three become Ministers, said the PM.

He acknowledged it is hard to attract people from the private sector because those who are established face a "big risk" since politics is a "new field" where they can fail.

More than half of the questions during the forum moderated by presenter Melissa Hyak were related to politics. The remaining 40 per cent or so were on social issues such as the cost of living, housing and foreign talent.

For example, PM Lee shared how the government helps low-income families via programmes as Workfare and the Grow & Share package.

He also added, he "very much doubt(ed)" Goods and Service tax will be raised after the GE.

After the forum, PM Lee told CNA the government would take note of the issues raised and alos said the questions were "good",

"It was good that they (participants) didn't pull their punches and so we had a frank exchange which I hope viewers would have found not only interesting but relevant and thought-provoking."

Postgraduate student Lin Peirong, 28, told Yahoo! Singapore, "PM was articulate in expressing himself, however, I am not convinced that PAP had addressed people's concerns in the past five years, even after the forum."

While the forum served as a "good platform to bring up issues", there was not enough depth in the discussion of each topic, she noted.

Dexter Ng, a 23-year-old Singapore Management University student, added, "While the debate on politics was lively, I felt that the participants did little to press PM Lee on the social issues, especially on the rising cost of living."

:pirate:A TRANSVESTITE'S JOURNEY TO A NEW BEGINNING

Bernama – Tue, Apr 12, 2011 3:49 PM SGT

''Mak Nyah'' or ''Pondan'' is the Malay term for transvestites or cross-dressers. Society frowns upon this group of people, though they may have their own reasons for living as the opposite gender.

This article dwells on the life of "Atuk", an HIV positive transvestite who has experienced sexual abuse, drug addiction and prostitution - but has now turned a new leaf to help those in the same predicament.

This is the first of a two part series.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 12 (Bernama) -- Looking at the face, figure and demeanour, it is hard to believe that this woman is actually a man.

Roslan Hamzah, 52, affectionately known as ''Atuk'', admitted without hesitation that he is a Mak Nyah, a controversial term that generally refers to males who love to dress up and behave like women.

"Even now, though my physique may have changed, I''m still a Mak Nyah," said

Atuk during an impromptu interview at an HIV conference where Atuk was one of the participants.

Atuk openly voiced his views in the hall and started an interesting debate on society’s misplaced judgment on people like himself and how they are unfairly treated.

''YOU ARE LIKE A PONDAN''

Atuk, who was born in Kajang, said during his primary school years in Melaka that he was a normal boy. He was active in sports, a sprinter, and even represented his state.

However, he slowly started hearing about his true identity when his performance in sports started going downhill. "Roslan, why are you running like a pondan! Roslan, you just ran like a pondan!" his teacher would say.

According to Atuk, the nasty and unforgiving remarks of his teacher haunted him emotionally.

"Who did see the real Atuk? The teacher or I, myself?" asked Atuk, adding that at the time he was living with his father and step mother in Melaka.

A DARK CHAPTER

Atuk admitted that he was a ‘softie’ and was often teased by other students.

Soon he started feeling depressed.

To make matters worse, when he was in form one he was sexually assaulted.

The perpetrator was in the army where his father was an officer. He had been assigned to fetch the children of army personnel from school.

"I had to undergo sports training on that fateful day and when it was over, I was left alone as everyone else had gone back. The army truck driver threatened to abandon me on the rubber estate if I did not give in to his demand for sex," he said, describing this dark chapter of his life.

"After sodomising me the perpetrator warned me not to tell anyone of the incident or else he would harm me, but I went ahead and related the incident to my father.

"I was immediately sent to Petaling Jaya to live with my biological mother, but my soft nature made me the object of ridicule. In fact, only the girls in school befriended me.

"I felt even more depressed. How was I to study when I was taunted every day?

"Moreover, I was separated from my father and step mother. Every time I quarreled with my biological mother, she would threaten to send me back to my step mother.

"My step mother was fierce, but she had taken care of me since I was very young," added Atuk.

A VICTIM OF CIRCUMSTANCES?

Atuk, who was undergoing emotional upheavals due to the problems within the family and school, also had another problem to deal with - fetish feelings towards the masculine gender that began after the sexual attack.

The solution? To run away from home. And that is what Atuk did. He would loiter at places where teenagers congregated and spent considerable time roller skating.

Atuk claims that he was forced into sexual liaisons with other teenagers.

According to Atuk, his biological mother did come looking for him off and on, but their meetings were often tempestuous and, in the end, both parted ways.

Atuk got to know a Malay lady who worked in a bar in the area where he was loitering.

"I was about 15 years old at that time. I got to know a woman in PJ. Knowing that I was a softie she took me back with her.

"She gave me money and taught me to take hormones. She also invited me to work in the bar where she worked. By then I had already started dressing up like a woman and I started growing my hair.

"At the same time, my dad had died and I was no longer in touch with my biological mother. She did look for me, but I had already decided on the path that I would be taking.

"I went where I found consolation. I was still young then, and the work in the pub provided me with a sense of relief.

"I was a victim of circumstances," he says referring to his gender transformation.

LOST ORIENTATION

Through a Mak Nyah who used to patronise the same bar, Atuk got to know Lorong Haji Taib, notorious for prostitution and drugs.

Atuk said that the Mak Nyah convinced him that he would be able to meet people of ''his kind'' there.

"The first time I was there I was already impressed. Why? I was well taken care of. At that time it never crossed my mind that I was being made use of and the Mak Nyah who took me there was a pimp.

Not only did Atuk start prostituting himself, but he started taking drugs, too.

"I neither smoked nor consumed liquor but was soon hooked to heroin when my boyfriend left me to get married," Atuk continued with his story.

According to Atuk, the boyfriend initially started off as his customer and soon started dating him.

"Slowly we fell in love. We lived together for nine years," said Atuk, commenting on how broken hearted he was.

He even went across the causeway where business was better to seek patrons.

"There were many customers. I was so busy I did not even have time to comb my hair after each session. I earned a lot of money. I remember how crumpled the notes were as I kept them under my clothes. Upon returning to Kuala Lumpur I used to iron them out.

"I could get between 30 and 40 customers on weekends. I could earn Singapore $50 per customer," noted Atuk, who was in the flesh trade for almost 20 years.

A REVERSAL IN LIFE

As age caught up with him, Atuk faced uncertainty and the real blow came when he was confirmed as being HIV positive.

He had been in and out of jail for drug use and only started to repent after his biological mother died.

Atuk was informed of his mother''s death by his eldest sister while he was undergoing a 40 month prison term.

According to Atuk, he met his mother several times but there was no real affection between them due to his involvement with drugs.

However, Atuk was grateful for the fact that during their last meeting he received her forgiveness.

"It was Hari Raya then and I wholeheartedly asked forgiveness from her.

"I''m sad that my mother did not live to see the change that took place in me and the social work that I''m doing," says Atuk, feeling the disappointment.

A NEW PAGE

The most shocking moment for Atuk was when he was confirmed as being HIV positive about 17 years ago. He was infected through the sharing of needles when injecting drugs.

Initially, it was difficult for Atuk to accept the fact that he was HIV positive and that there was no cure for him.

"I looked in the mirror and asked myself whether I was going to continue crying or do something about it.

"From then on I was determined to change my fate. At that time, discrimination against transvestites was severe and I needed strength to face the adversities.

"HIV sufferers share the same fate as Mak Nyah. I was chased out of the rented room and had no money. I thought people would sympathise with me," explained Atuk.

Atuk is not alone in repenting. He had the support of a friend called ''Amy'' and the Mak Nyah programme of the PT Foundation, the largest community based programme that provides services for HIV high risk groups in Kuala Lumpur.

Atuk''s real life story now serves as a good lesson for others in his predicament.

After being with the PT Foundation for 16 years, Atuk has now joined the Persatuan Cahaya Harapan Negeri Kedah (Kuala Muda) as a social worker.

In Kuala Lumpur there are many NGOs and Atuk has a number of friends who live with HIV.

"Cahaya Harapan''s focus is on the exchange of needles without sidelining other groups in need of assistance," says Atuk.

Lady Gaga: My Body Modifications arent Dangerous

Cover Media Wed, Apr 13, 2011 2:30 PM SGT

Lady Gaga thinks stars who have plastic surgery promote a more damaging image to fans than her body modification does.

The flamboyant singer is renowned for her edgy appearance and has recently started sporting horns which jut out of her face and shoulders. Her new look is tied into the promotion of her latest record Born This Way, with the star keen to show her admirers its important to embrace who you really are.

She knows some people will think shes encouraging her fans to go to extreme lengths to look different, but insists thats not what her ###### changes are about.

I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification, she told the May edition of Harpers Bazaar.

And how many models and actresses do you see on magazine covers who have brand-new faces and have had plastic surgery, while I myself have never had any plastic surgery? I am an artist, and I have the ability and the free will to choose the way the world will envision me.

"Trust me, I know that. I think a lot of people love to convolute what everyone else does in order to disempower women. But my fans know me… I am in no way promoting sadomasochism or masochism."

<_<The star baulked when the horns were referred to as prosthetics in the interview, insisting they are her real bones. She claims they have always been there, its just she was waiting for the correct moment to unleash them on the world.

:evil:They come out when I'm inspired, she added. It's artistic expression. It's a performance-art piece.

Born This Way hits stores next month, and the single of the same name has already been released. Its been praised by fans who say the song is another example of why Gaga is one of the most different and edgy artists around at the moment. She explained if people enjoyed that single, the record will bowl them over.

Born This Way is the marijuana to the heroin of the album. The [album's] experience gets massively more intense as you explore it. All the different songs are different kinds of highs, she added.

Jennifer Lopez has been named the most beautiful woman in the world by People magazine.

The 41-year-old Latino star – who is famed for her gorgeous looks and sensational curves - has topped the US publication’s annual list.

Jennifer – who has three-year-old twins with her husband Marc Anthony – has been rendered lost for words after landing the coveted title, and says she in honoured to receive the prestigious beauty award.

"Rarely am I left speechless, but I feel honoured," she told People magazine. "I feel not worthy, you know? I feel happy and proud. Proud that I’m not 25!"

Joining the gorgeous star on the list are Hollywood stars including Eva Longoria, Zac Efron, Kellan Lutz, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lawrence and Ryan Reynolds.

Jennifer told the publication she makes a concerted effort to look her best at all times. The singer says people don’t realise the amount of work that goes into her fitness and beauty regime.

"The thing is, it's part of my job. I don't want anybody thinking it's easy. It does take time and it's hard work. HDTV wide-screen is nobody's friend!” she joked.

Despite her glamorous lifestyle in front of the camera, Jennifer is happiest when she is at home with twins Max and Emme. The global superstar prefers it when she doesn’t have to wear make-up at home with the kids.

"That's when I'm my happiest. Just being able to touch my face and rub my eyes and put my fingers in my hair and not having to worry about messing it up,” she explained. “It's so much better."

Jennifer says that her daughter is beginning to pick up on her beauty secrets and is also learning how to mix and match her outfits.

"She is very girly-girl, just like me since I was very little. She loves for me to paint her nails," she said. "She lays out her clothes on the floor like I do with my stylist and she's like, 'This matches very good!'”

The American beauty says her son is also learning from her make-up regime. Max enjoyss having his nails painted because he loves the colour blue. However, the tot is so fidgety she never gets past painting a couple of his nails.

"He wants to paint his nails too. Because for him, it's just paint. He's like, 'I want the blue!'" she laughed. "Then Marc is like, 'Why are Max's nails painted?!' But he won't sit still so it's only like two nails."

Jennifer has been called a “diva” in the past. The star was initially offended by the label as she insists she has never made diva-like demands throughout her career, however she has now grown to embrace it.

"I kind of like it. We've kind of owned it now. But I certainly don't like and I've never been a person who has what they call 'diva behaviour,' which is something they tried to pin on me for a long time."

:evil:Famed Hindu GURU Sathya Sai Baba dies at 86

AP – 1 hour 23 minutes ago

Hindu holy man Sathya Sai Baba, considered a living god by millions of followers worldwide, died Sunday in a hospital near his southern Indian ashram, a doctor said. He was 86.

Sai Baba had spent more than three weeks on breathing support and dialysis while struggling with multiple-organ failure at the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, near his ashram in Puttaparti village in southern Andhra Pradesh state. He died Sunday morning, hospital director Dr. A.N. Safaya said.

Women selling marigold garlands broke down in tears outside ashram when the news was announced.

The saffron-robed Sathya Sai Baba had a huge following with ashrams in more than 126 countries. He was said to perform miracles — conjuring rings and watches and "vibhuti," a sacred ash that his followers applied on their foreheads — from his overgrown and unkempt Afro-style hair.

Followers gathered to mourn in small groups in alleys and streets surrounding the ashram, while some began trickling into the temple complex where the holy man's body will be brought to lie in state until Tuesday.

Hundreds of thousands of devotees are expected in Puttaparti for Sathya Sai Baba's funeral.

A heavy police deployment, in place for weeks as the guru's condition worsened, was manning barricades on the roads to restrict traffic in the village. Shopkeepers were told to close to control the number of people near the ashram.

Born Nov. 23, 1926, in Puttaparti, the guru was first named Sathyanarayana Raju.

In 1940, he declared himself an "avatar," or reincarnation, of another Hindu holy man called the Sai Baba of Shirdi, a town in the western Indian state of Maharashtra who had died in 1918.

The Sathya Sai Baba was also mired in several controversies, with several news reports about allegations of sexual abuse and fake miracles.

In 2004, a television program by the British Broadcasting Corporation called the "Secret Swami," interviewed at least two American male devotees who claimed the guru had fondled their genitals and exposed himself to them, claiming it was part of a healing ritual. :chair:

The guru and his ashram have always denied all reports of any wrongdoing and he was never charged or convicted of any crime.

The holy man was never married and has no children.

ANALYSIS: Red Shirt Leader adds to Thaksin's Dilemmas

By News Desk in Bangkok/The Nation (Thailand) | ANN – Thu, Apr 21, 2011 5:10 PM SGT

Bangkok (The Nation-Thailand/ANN) - What should worry former Thai premier Thaksin Shinawatra more - Army tanks or one loose cannon in the form of Jatuporn Promphan? The formidable former toppled him in 2006, but the unpredictable latter is arguably making it more difficult for him to repair the damage caused by that coup. And to make the matter even more complex, both parties are facing off on a daily basis, a confrontation that is flying in the face of the Kingdom's electoral mood.

To Thaksin, Jatuporn is both an asset and a liability. The red-shirt leader is the hero of more than 90 per cent of people who are set to vote for the opposition Pheu Thai Party, but he is also potentially a political disaster waiting to happen. The showdown with Army chief Prayuth Chan-ocha will not help Pheu Thai's chances in the election or after the poll. Thaksin wants the military to leave his political party alone, but Jatuporn has invariably made sure that Pheu Thai will continue to be closely watched for its ideology. In fact, many Pheu Thai MPs are fearing that an election victory will come to nothing if Jatuporn keeps running amok.

"I'm a locked target," the embattled MP declared. He claimed the military was using him to discredit the red shirts and then destroy Pheu Thai, possibly through another coup. Whether that is true or not, Jatuporn has definitely allowed himself to be used. His political speeches marking the first anniversary of last year's political bloodshed on April 10 left many people agape even before Prayuth came out to criticise them. If an anti-Pheu Thai conspiracy is real, Jatuporn has helped feed it.

Veteran Chavalit Yongchaiyudh has quit as Pheu Thai Party chairman, with sources close to him citing his concern over the camp's controversial ideology. Again, Chavalit, a well-known schemer, might have just needed a pretext. But, again, Jatuporn gave him a good pretext.

Still, not only is Jatuporn compounding Thaksin's woes, but he may be also putting fellow red-shirt peers in a predicament. What he said on a red rally stage has brought attention to less outspoken red-shirt leaders like Natthawut Saikua, Wichien Khao-kham, Suporn Attawong, Weng Tojirakarn and Thida Tavornseth, all of whom now are facing police summonses for their role in the April 10 gathering.

Thaksin can only hope that the Jatuporn controversy does not snowball into a situation where naming the MP as an election candidate will be deemed an ultimate provocation. Leaders of the armed forces have come out to pledge their support for the general election and ruled out the possibility of a new coup, but that was before the flare-up with Jatuporn. The no-coup vow will stand, but if Thaksin is hoping for a smooth Pheu Thai rise to power after the election, Jatuporn is a threat to that dream.

Facing the tough decision of whether or not he should risk his beloved sister Yingluck in politics, Thaksin now also has to deal with the Jatuporn dilemma. Pheu Thai needs red-shirt votes, but the party can be endangered by guys like Jatuporn, who is both an MP and leader of the movement. A "dual-track" approach has been suggested to make Pheu Thai and the red shirts "appear" to be separate, but that is easier said than done.

Pheu Thai and the red shirts can't part ways. Thaksin, the de-facto Pheu Thai leader, needs the red shirts like he needs air. The red shirts, on the other hand, are a headless movement without him in spite of claims they have gone way "beyond" the man in Dubai. However, who needs whom more is a no-brainer. Without the red shirts, Thaksin will regress into complete irrelevance.

:evil:Michelle Chia’s marriage on the rocks ???

By ewenboey | What’s buzzing? – 2 hours 16 minutes ago

Decked out in an outfit that is more suited for the bedroom than the red carpet, Michelle Chia arrived at the Star Awards 2011 Show on Sunday night conspicuously without her actor husband, Shaun Chen.

The Internet is rife with rumours that the stars' three-year marriage is on the rocks, and that Chia and Chen are not sharing the same bed any more.

When quizzed by The New Paper (TNP) if he had been served papers from Chia, Chen was taken aback and speechless.

"How do you know about the letter? Can I not comment on this?" he replied.

Dispelling gossip that the couple are not living together anymore, Chen added that he did not believe in divorce as he is a conservative man.

"A man must be married. If a couple is having problems, then I believe in sticking through them.

"It's not easy for people from two different worlds to be together, and marriage is a long journey," he added.

Chen also emphasised that he "doesn't need to answer to people about his marriage".

Under Singapore law, a couple has to be married for three years before filing for divorce, and a check on the Registry of Marriages website revealed that Chen and Chia have been married for exactly three years.

In contrast to a more subdued Chen, Chia was having a blast posing for photographers in her see-through dress on the red carpet, and then later in her Madonna-inspired chili-red dress complete with fibreglass breast cones. :eyebrow:

TNP revealed that an industry insider confirmed the rumour that Chia is now dating a Caucasian. :chair:

When Chia was quizzed at the event, she replied, "I don't want to talk about this. Let's just talk about clothes and awards tonight."

She went on to talk about her racy Ferragamo outfit, and said that "it was sexy and not too vulgar...because it's like playing peekaboo without revealing everything."

Chen admitted that he was shocked with her outfit, but added that she "looked pretty in it" and did not need his permission to wear it. :pinch:

He added that they did not walk in together during the event due to the arrangements made by the programming people.

Other married celebrity couples at the show like Fann Wong and Christopher Lee, and Zheng Geping and Hong Huifang were seen hand-in-hand on the red carpet and on stage.

:groupwavereversed:"Confidence is not based on my CUP SIZE" : Star Awards 2011 Show 2's Best Quotes

By Han Wei Chou | Posted: 25 April 2011 1917 hrs

SINGAPORE: The Star Awards 2011 Show 2 on Sunday was a glitzy, glamorous event that recognized the best talents in showbiz.

Although it featured a host of performances by acrobats, contortionists and even trapeze artistes, the most entertaining bits of the show were still the zingers and anecdotes shared by the galaxy of stars who turned up for the event.

Some of the best are captured below:

Michelle Chong on the new competition

"It is so hard to be a television host nowadays, with so many actors trying to snatch our rice bowls," quipped popular television host Michelle Chong, alluding to how actresses like Belinda Lee and Joanne Peh have turned television hosts for some television programmes.

Peh in particular beat veteran hosts Bryan Wong, Mark Lee and Guo Liang to win Best Info-ed Programme Host at the Star Awards 2011 Show 2.

Interestingly, Chong is an actress as well as a host and had previously acted in dramas like "Mrs P.I.".

Huang Wen Yong thinks Xiang Yun is a tough act to follow

"What old! I am a virgin ok! I just got my first popularity award this year! said Huang in response to a comment that he finally won a popularity award in his old age, before bursting into laughter.

"Seriously, even if I follow in Xiang Yun's footsteps and win every year from now on, I'd still be 70 when I ascend and take home the All-Time Favourite Artiste award!"

Bryan Wong finally catches a break

"Finally, I can get out of my seat, and not because I want to go to the toilet! said Wong, who won a Top 10 Favourite Male Artist award after being passed over for Best Variety Show Host and Best Info-ed Programme Host at the Star Awards 2011 Show 2.

Hong Hui Fang loves hubbys buff bod

"It's really not easy for him (husband Zheng Ge Ping) to train and get this deep 'cleavage'. For ladies, it is easier because we can 'squeeze' and get cleavage," said veteran actress Hong Hui Fang, eyeing her husbands well-defined chest muscles appreciatively.

Zheng's buff chest attracted a lot of attention on awards night, with Fann Wong even making a bid to touch his chest "because of popular demand" when he came onstage to receive his Top 10 Favourite Male Artistes award from her.

"Actually I didn't want to show so much of my chest. At first, I was supposed to wear a T-shirt under my jacket but my stylist kept cutting the T-shirt deeper and deeper down the front.

"I then decided to just forgo it and not wear anything under my jacket," said Zheng, who revealed that he worked out even when he was shooting a drama in Malaysia recently.

Awards bad for Dennis Chew's heart

"Last year, I was the ninth name to be called [as a winner in the Top 10 Favourite Male Artistes award]. This year, mine was the last name called! Why must they do this to me every year!

"I felt like I was going to get a heart attack!" said Y.E.S. 93.3FM deejay Dennis Chew on how he felt when he made it onto the list of winners for the Top 10 Favourite Male Artistes award.

Chew almost didn't get nominated when an error in the nomination polls caused him to be left off the list, along with fellow deejay Christina Lim.

The error was corrected and he became the 21st nominee in a category that traditionally only has 20.

Buxom Xiang Yun gets nods for daring dress from everyone but her kids

"My husband didn't say much about my dress, but my daughter gave me a dirty look when she saw me in it just now (at the Star Awards 2011 Show 2)," said Xiang Yun, who turned heads with her voluptuous figure when she wore a cleavage baring dress to the awards ceremony.

"I am not worried about it," said Edmund Chen, who currently runs his own production company, of his wife's revealing dress.

"My daughter is the one who was very concerned. She came up to me and kept asking 'Daddy, daddy, did you see mummy's dress? What is your reaction!'" said Chen with a laugh.

"My kids (Chen and Xiang Yun have a son and a daughter) will keep an eye on things so I don't have to worry!"

Jeanette Aw has Unshakeable Confidence

"Confidence is not based on my cup size," said Singapore actress Jeanette Aw, in response to her friends' reservations about her wearing a revealing deep-V dress with her modest figure, on the red carpet at the Star Awards this year.

:thumbdown:Peace elusive as Thai-Cambodia Border battles rage

By Martin Petty | Reuters Tue, Apr 26, 2011 9:44 AM SGT

PHANOM DONG RAK, Thailand (Reuters) - Hopes for peace between Thailand and Cambodia faded on Tuesday after fierce border battles raged for a fourth day, despite growing international calls for dialogue and an immediate ceasefire.

Explosions rang out across the frontier for more than three hours late on Monday as the two sides traded mortar and artillery fire close to two disputed 12th-century Hindu temples, intensifying the bloodiest conflict between the neighbours in nearly two decades.

It ended a full-day break in hostilities and followed the cancellation of a visit to both countries by a top Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) envoy who had brokered a U.N.-backed ceasefire deal in February after deadly clashes near another temple 150 km (90 miles) away.

Three Thai soldiers were wounded and a small skirmish took place about four hours after shelling subsided, Thai television reported. There were no known Cambodian casualties.

Although on the surface, the conflict appears to be a dispute over sovereignty and territory, many experts are sceptical and believe the fighting is being fuelled by political interests in Bangkok or Phnom Penh, or possibly both.

The two governments have been locked in diplomatic rows for two years and could be seeking to discredit each other and appeal to nationalists at home as Thailand prepares for a general election, expected by July. A change in government could be in Cambodia's interests.

Thailand reiterated calls for a bilateral solution to halt the bloodshed that has killed at least 12 soldiers on both sides but Thai Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya acknowledged the window for dialogue was shrinking.

"We were hoping it would end in peaceful talks with the safety of civilians the heart," Kasit told reporters. "It's now beyond talks as friendly neighbours. In any case, we have to inform ASEAN countries that Cambodia is the aggressor."

ASEAN'S REPUTATION

Secretary-General Surin Pitsuwan called for immediate dialogue late on Monday and said the reputation of the grouping was at stake if hostilities continued unabated.

The conflict and rhetoric from both sides has been a setback for ASEAN, a 10-member bloc modelled on the European Union that plans to become a regional community by 2015.

At the centre of the latest dispute are the Ta Moan and Ta Krabey Hindu temples in a heavily mined jungle area claimed by both sides. Thailand says the ancient ruins are in its Surin province, but Cambodia insists they fall in its territory.

Fighting has been heaviest around Ta Moan, a complex that contains three temples nestled in a mountain pass. Both sides are also positioned around Ta Krabey, where fighting first erupted on Friday and reignited late on Monday. Thailand accuses Cambodia of building military bases there.

In Phanom Dong Rak, about 30 km from the fighting, truckloads of evacuees arrived in makeshift camps after troops were deployed to clear villages in the line of fire.

Thailand's Foreign Ministry said more than 30,000 villagers in two border provinces had been evacuated, while Cambodia said 22,000 people had been moved to safety, accusing Thailand of attacking villages 20 km into its territory.

Analysts also say the Thai military could be flexing its muscles to preserve its sizeable stake in Thailand's political apparatus and satisfy conservative elites at odds with the country's powerful opposition forces.

"The army has nothing to lose in a border clash. They show their relevance and show who is wielding the power," said Karn Yuenyong, head of the Siam Intelligence Unit think-tank.

"The border and sovereignty issues matter to a group of conservative elites and this is one way the Thai army exerts its loyalty."

Monday's clashes followed a day of posturing by both sides, each accusing the other of aggressive acts and attempted incursions into disputed territory around the temples.

:peace::peace::peace:Search is on for Thailand's most Beautiful TRANSVESTITE

By Manta Klangboonkrong in Bangkok/The Nation (Thailand) | ANN – Mon, Apr 25, 2011 2:50 PM

Bangkok (The Nation-Thailand/ANN) - Thirty Thai ladyboys get ready for beauty camp as the countdown to Miss Tiffany Universe 2011 begins.

For 14th consecutive year, Miss Tiffany Show Pattaya is organising the most talked about beauty pageant for transvestites and transgenders in the world, Miss Tiffany Universe 2011. Last week, the excitement factor went up another notch as the last 30 contestants were picked to compete in the final round in Pattaya on May 6.

The 58 contestants from all over Thailand were taking part in the first elimination round at CentralWorld Plaza in Bangkok. Under hot spotlights on an adorned stage, the contestants went through a "reality show" style of judging as well as realtime deliberation. Each was interviewed on stage and had to showcase their talents to meet the requirement of being beautiful inside and out, to fit this year's theme, 'I'm So Beautiful'. Many wowed the judges and the audience with such diverse talents as linguistic and sports skills.

This year's judging panel features associate professor Seree Wongmontha, Prasert Jemjuthithum, Thailand's beauty queen guru, TV host Pongsiri Intrachai, Perfect Skin guru Darin Somsuwan, corporate communications officer of the Asoke Skin Hospital and the gorgeous Poy Treechada, who was crowned Miss Tiffany Universe 2004 and now dabbles into modelling and show business.

From May 1 till 5, the final 30 contestants will attend a beauty camp, where they will get to bond and share experiences.

Miss Tiffany Universe was initiated in 1998 to promote tourism in Pattaya, Bangkok and Thailand as a whole. Initially, the contest was well received among transvestites and transgenders in cabaret and entertainment circuits and later on became a popular platform for transgender men from all walks of life including doctors, scholars and business executives. It has since captured the imagination not only of Thais but also people from other countries who only come to Pattaya to watch the pageant.

The final round takes place on May 6 at Tiffany Show Theatre in Pattaya with live broadcast on Thailand's Channel 7 from 11pm. Tickets to the contest are 1,500 baht ($50) and 2,500 baht ($85). Part of the profits go to the Thai Red Cross Society.

The winner of Miss Tiffany Universe will compete in the Miss International Queen later this year where she will vie with contestants from other countries. The international pageant aims to promote camaraderie, understanding and issues surrounding transgenders and transvestites.

:evil::evil:OPINION: The NAKED Truth for Malaysians

By Dennis Ignatius in Kuala Lumpur/The Star | ANN Thu, Apr 21, 2011 11:40 AM

Kuala Lumpur (The Star/ANN) - Are Malaysians obsessed with SEX ??? That's the question I was asked recently by a foreign friend.

He had been reading our newspapers and online media and was puzzled by our seeming obsession with all things sexual.

I guess it must have appeared that way to foreigners, looking in on the daily goings-on in our country these days.

Consider recent developments as reported in the local media.

Over the last few months, we have been treated to the most sordid details of a major sodomy trial.

It was even revealed that traces of DNA from several different individuals were found in the rear end of one, shall we say, particularly hard-pressed gentleman.

Such lurid details were, until recently, deemed too crude to be even spoken of in polite company, let alone covered in the media.

Reports from the sodomy trial also revealed a sad picture of police incompetence.

Important DNA samples taken from unmentionable parts of the human anatomy were apparently compromised because they were not properly stored.

Interestingly, if you did a Google search on sodomy trials, 99% of all the immediate references point to Malaysia. Let's hope the two don't become inexorably linked.

And then, just as we were getting accustomed to the new normal in journalism, a video was released purportedly showing an Opposition leader in a compromising position with a prostitute.

One of those who released the video is himself no stranger to such controversy. Some are now calling for the video to be screened to the public while others are calling for a royal commission of inquiry to examine the video.

Not so long ago, that would have been the job of the film censorship board.

Meanwhile, a member of parliament opined in the House that husbands are drawn towards sexual promiscuity because their wives are not making time to satisfy them.

He also admitted that men are sometimes excited by what they see "at traffic lights".

Now, who would have thought that traffic lights could turn people on? Perhaps this might explain those puzzling traffic jams in parts of the city.

The honourable member went on to suggest that wives ought to drop whatever they were doing to immediately satisfy their husbands' sexual desires.

So, women are once again to blame for all the ills of men.

How convenient!

With such nonsense emanating from high places, is it any wonder why people are beginning to think that we are seriously messed up?

Or that Malaysian males are big on libido and short of fuse?

Or that we are just a bunch of male chauvinists who see our wives as little more than domestic workers and sex slaves? Isn't it time there was a change of mindset?

Perhaps if the men helped out at home as equal partners with their wives, they might not have too much free time, or energy, to think about the next quick fix.

An idle man is the devil's workshop, to rephrase an old saying.

But getting back to the issue at hand, reports from the Teoh Beng Hock Royal Commission of Inquiry noted that while an interrogation was underway, one of the interrogating officers took time out to download and watch pornography on his office computer.

Talk about multi-tasking!

And if that wasn't enough, a newspaper this past week reported in bold print that the Chief Minister of Malacca blew his top over reports that young couples had been making out at some of the state's historical monuments, including Unesco world heritage sites.

The Chief Minister fumed that the sites had become a haven for "unsavoury acts".

Discarded condoms were also posing a hazard to early morning joggers in the area.

In typical Malaysian fashion, the Chief Minister took council workers to task for their failure to keep a more watchful eye on nocturnal activities at the sites.

Couples will now be monitored, or peeped at (depending on how you view these things), more closely.

As an additional precaution, the CM promised to find the necessary funds to light up the whole area.

Meanwhile in Johor, it was reported that female caddies at a golf club were doing more than just retrieving errant balls.

The newspaper headline said it all: Caddies by day, call-girls by night.

I won't go into all the risque golf jokes that will be coming out of this story.

It is just as well that Malacca is pioneering the use of energy-efficient solar-powered lighting to keep its historic sites brightly lit because the way things are going, we might have to light up the whole country!

All these reports, which circulate widely abroad courtesy of the web, have challenged the notion of Malaysia as a conservative country.

It suggests as well that we might have a serious moral crisis on our hands.

Happily, in the midst of all this came some much needed comic relief -- fake eggs were spotted in parts of the country.

Either the nation's hens need to heed the advice of the aforementioned member of parliament or those solar-powered lights need to be turned down.

Worried consumers need not, however, be alarmed; the fake eggs have been sent for DNA testing.

Only in Malaysia! :eyebrow:

:heh::heh::heh:More 3D SEX to come

By Chin Vin Sen | Yahoo!Branded Cinema Online Mon, Apr 25, 2011 2:00 AM SGT

25 Apr - There will be 3D sex scenes in what is being touted as Southeast Asia's first 3D movie - "The Hunter" - according to the film's director Bjarne Wong.

Speaking at the Shenzhen launch of the movie in early March, the Sarawak-born filmmaker revealed that he plans for the RM6 million horror film, due to shoot in June, to feature at least one sex scene between lead pair Isaac Ong and Tavani Hu - but audiences in more "conservative" territories may not see any, as it is likely to be lost to the cutting room floor.

Earlier, the female lead, Tavani Hu, raised eyebrows when she obliged a ballerina-style jumping pose with Malaysian co-star Isaac Ong, who lifted her slight 42kg frame with just one arm at great ease.

Cavorting and frolicking about with the press in suggestive poses, Tavani was seen to be happily lapping up all the attention from excited pressmen and curious onlookers.

Asia Entertainment Media, the company that has invested in Wong's project, recently purchased a cutting edge 3D camera with a long-term view to produce 3D movies.

The multi-nation joint production aims for distribution in territories such as Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, India and the Philippines.

Other cast include Carmen Soo, Sharifah Amani, Cindy Chen, Smythe Wong, Koe Yeet and Lou Qi.

:welldone:Weird Al gets a million views with Lady Gaga Parody

AFP Relax Sat, Apr 23, 2011 12:21 AM SGT

Satirical performer Weird Al Yankovic has had a viral video hit with his parody of Lady Gaga's song "Born This Way."

Uploaded to YouTube on April 20, Weird Al's parody version, titled "Perform This Way," had attracted 1.5 million views as of April 22 and was the second most watched video on the site.

The parody plays on Lady Gaga's relationship with the press and her flamboyant dress sense with lyrics such as "I might be wearin' Swiss cheese or maybe covered with bees it doesn't mean I'm crazy -- I perform this way" and "I'll wear a porcupine on my head on a W-H-I-M."

Some controversy surrounded the song when Weird Al claimed that Lady Gaga had denied him permission to include the parody on his next album. However, the issue now appears to have been resolved with Yankovic reporting on his blog that Lady Gaga had agreed with his request and is a fan of the song.

The full version of Weird Al Yankovic's parody can be found at:

Lady Gaga's original "Born This Way," which has over 39 million views, can be found at:

20 Apr - A sex scene between Chinese beauty Crystal Liu Yi Fei and Louis Koo in "A Chinese Ghost Story" has apparently been lost to the cutting room floor for its 18-rated theatrical release in Malaysia.

Playing demoness and demon hunter in yet another adaptation of the popular story, the said scene appears very early on in the film and is part of a flashback montage about their ill-fated romance.

No comment can be obtained from Golden Screen Cinemas, who played it at the Malaysian preview for pressmen yesterday.

However, it is learned that the Singaporean version, rated a tame PG (Parental Guidance), does not suffer the same. :yahoo:

23-year-old Crystal Liu plays Nie Xiaoqian in this Wilson Yip ("Ip Man") reupdate on the Qing Dynasty fable.

The cross-genre movie reveals plenty of bareback action from her, while she was also noted to have appeared in a low-cut golden dress to compliment her figure at the Beijing launch earlier in February.

In 2008, Liu starred with martial arts icons Jet Li and Jackie Chan in "The Forbidden Kingdom", in which she played Golden Sparrow, an orphan seeking revenge against her parents' killer. In 2010, she starred in "Love In Disguise" with Wang Lee Hom.

"A Chinese Ghost Story" opens tomorrow in Malaysia under the distribution of Golden Screen Cinemas and in Singapore under the joint-distribution of Golden Village Pictures and Encore Films.

:welldone:Sony chases Apple with launch of Android Tablet

By Isabel Reynolds | Reuters – Wed, Apr 27, 2011 2:53 AM SGT

TOKYO (Reuters) - Sony launched its first tablet computers on Tuesday in an ambitious attempt to grab the No.2 spot from Samsung in a fast-growing market dominated by Apple's year-old iPad.

The gadgets, based on Google's Android 3.0 operating system, could be some of the Japanese company's most important new products since the Playstation game console made its debut in 1994.

Sony, also the inventor of the Walkman and once a symbol of Japan's high-tech might, is now struggling to come up with hit devices and improve profit margins as it competes with Apple, Samsung Electronics and Nintendo.

"Expectations are low that any company can present a credible challenge to Apple," said Jay Defibaugh, director of equity research at MF Global in Tokyo.

Sony's tablets join more than 100 iPad challengers based on Android, and may struggle to differentiate themselves, although Sony does have the advantage of being able to link the tablets to its gaming and entertainment offerings.

"Being late into the tablet market is not necessarily a bad thing," said Geoff Blaber, head of mobile device software research at British IT analysis firm CCS Insight.

"If certain manufacturers are taking their time to come to market with something genuinely differentiated from the iPad... that can be good for them in the long run."

Samsung's Galaxy Tab is Apple's strongest competitor while Motorola, LG Electronics and HTC are flooding the market with tablets running Android.

A survey published on Tuesday showed that Android is already losing some allure for software developers smitten with Apple -- meaning that fewer of the apps that attract customers to buy a product are likely to be available for Android.

Sony's black, glossy devices, code-named S1 and S2, will be the first tablets to enable the use of PlayStation games, Kunimasa Suzuki, deputy president of the consumer products and services group, said at Tuesday's media launch.

Sony is banking on the unusual, off-center design of the S1 and access to first generation PlayStation games and its other networked content to differentiate the products from the flood of tablets in the market.

Sales of tablet devices are expected to quadruple to about 294 million units between 2011 and 2015, with almost half that Android-based, research firm Gartner has forecast.

Sony gave no clues on the price of the new tablets, which will need to compete with the iPad2, offered at $499 and upwards depending on the model.

"It has to be the same price as the iPad or less," said analyst Shiro Mikoshiba of Nomura Securities. "They are in the position of having to catch up with Apple, so they have to be attractive in terms of price."

Price alone may not be enough. Research in Motion, which has priced the PlayBook to match the iPad, has struggled to win consumer fans since launching the device last week.

Hewlett-Packard Co unveiled its entrant in the tablet race in February.

Sony's tablets will be WiFi and 3G/4G compatible. S1 has a 9.4-inch display and a curved design that Sony said makes it easier to hold for long periods of time.

The S2 has two 5.5-inch displays in a clamshell design, which Suzuki emphasized by producing one of them from his jacket pocket during the launch.

Sony has seen its share price slide in the past decade as it struggled to keep up with rivals. Helped by its success in TVs and other products, Samsung's market capitalization of some $134 billion dwarfs Sony's $30 billion market value.

Sony's Kazuo Hirai, seen as a likely successor to CEO Howard Stringer, made his first public appearance at the event after the company promoted the gaming division chief to the number 2 position last month.

Google's Android chief Andy Rubin was also on hand.

Shares in Sony, which unveils its quarterly results on May 26, fell 2.1 percent on Tuesday in a Nikkei market down just over 1 percent.

:friends:3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy - Hong Kong Trailer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V5j8ZYnRyM

:thumbsup:Mavis PAN in "SEX" sequel

Cinema Online – Wed, Apr 6, 2011 12:25 PM SGT

6 Apr - "3D Sex And Zen: Extreme Ecstasy" executive producer Stephen Shiu Jr. wants Mavis Pan Shuang Shuang for the sequel, according to Chinese reports.

Although the film has yet to open (14 April in Hong Kong), Shiu was quoted as saying "These days, many people have praised the well-endowed and smoking hot Pan. People want to see her in a film."

Dubbed by Chinese media as "Little Shu Qi" after similar bee-stung lips to the established Taiwan star and also "Edison Chen #2", she shot to fame only in recent weeks due to a sex scandal with Hong Kong actor-singer Raymond Lam, in which photos were published with them in bed.

"Since the female lead is Pan, I won't object to make an open casting call to select a lead actor who resembles Raymond Lam in appearance," Shiu added, cheekily. The impossibly busty Taizhou, Zhejiang-born model is reported to have a waist of merely 46cm. :groupwavereversed:

Meanwhile in other "3D Sex And Zen" news, lead actresses Leni Lan Yan has been reported missing and some tabloids have reported fears of suicide. Said to be loosely based on Li Yu's 17th century classical Chinese erotic literature "The Carnal Prayer Mat", this 3D re-update of the record-breaking 1991 Hong Kong box office cult classic erotica stars Japanese AV actresses Yukiko Suo and Saori Hara opposite Hong Kong-based Japanese male model Hiro Hayama.

Other cast include Vonnie Lui Hoi Yan, Tony Ho Wah Chiu, Irene Chen Chiu Ping, Jason Yiu and Tenky Tin.
