Terryz_
Thumb of rule... Anything will blue, purple and green will be much dull if there are no female.. They will not lose the color completely but not so bright only.... Because they dun have the need to be so nice when there are no female to attract around.. SRC Supporter ReDDeviLs Posted September 17, 2009 SRC Supporter Share Posted September 17, 2009 not sure abt african ones, but i do not agree with your female theory. alot of people locally and externally have tried pairs and still lost their colour as per single. Hehe.. Not really sure thou.. Maybe they are missing something that is found in the ocean and not in our tanks... But I think the male with female will have a higher chance of retaining the color den male without female... That is what i feel lar.. lol.. FuEl
Loss of colour is mostly related to nutrition. Try giving more cyclopeeze or food which contains spirulina or krill meal. Moderators thomas_lim Posted September 18, 2009 Moderators Share Posted September 18, 2009 Not sure if the female help or not. But I do like it when my male flame wrasse flashes at the female. It will show a very intense golden body colour! Quote Tom
