i wanted to post this in the LPS section but i cant seem to post it...

so i'll do it here...

just got this lugol's iodine solution few weeks ago...

planning to use it to dip corals before it enters into my main tank...

would like to ask..

can i dip all corals in it? what are the corals that are not suitable for this dip???

one drop for one pail of water.. is the dosage ok???

timing wise... 5mins ok??

the bottle never state any directions for dipping corals..

only state directions for dosing it in the main tank...

never hear of any of the bros out there who are doing it,

so dont dare...

afraid of overdosing it...

kindly advice..

it is not neccesary to dip all corals in lugol in my opinion. only do it if u suspect infection or want to rid it of pests. usually zoanthids are the most popular corals for dipping. anyway, im using Kent's lugols sulution and they say 40 drops per 1 gallon of water for 10-15 mins. i duno what brand you are using.
