problem with skimmer

i just got this macro skimmer..

think is the venturi 300.. not sure...is either 300 or 200 la..

anyway using a 4000L/H for it.. used a T join and divert the rest of the water to my chiller... cauz pump too fast for skimmer...

i notice that the air bubbles aren't very fine... and also that there is not much foam?

y????

and my skimmate is only abit yellowish.. not even kopi-O...

wad should i do???

please advise..

what model exactly?

the rcommended flowrate for asf 300 is 2000L/hr.

also, the chiller will have its own recommended flowrate.

i doubt its as high as 4000L/hr

by hooking it up in a big loop,

how do you measure the flowrate?

dude,

there is a reason why its called 'recommended' ;)

4000L/hr is better as your return pump.

try getting replacements for your skimmer and chiller.

2) chiller's model

different models will have different flowrates. branching out doesn't necessarily mean you're halving the flow rate right down to the decimal point.

best if you get dedicated pumps so that if one fails, at least something else is still working. more costly in the long run, but the ease of mind is there.
