Running the LED on 8 hour a day together with 2 tube of T5 HO 80W ( ATI Blue plus & Aqua Blue) and 1 hour with the moon light . It has been close to 6 month now, and most of the frag which i started with is growing well with good coloration although the growth is rather slow .

My light placement is about 30 cm above water , but some oversea reefer i saw place this light higher for a better spread. I feel that the light is best supplement with T5 to bring out the coloration of the SPS, since by LED alone may not be 100% sufficient especially for light demanding corals.

There is mainly about 30 types of SPS species in my tank now which consist of Acropora, Humilis Acropora , Monti, Monitopora ,Stylopora, radioactive, and birdnest ect... So far , all is doing well .

Overall, i like the lighting effect which is close to a 250W MH, and the royal blue LED effect.

Yes the BN is from Irwanna last Walt Smith shipment, and so far so good the pink is holding.. I do have some LPS coral inside my tank as well like frogspawn and hammer corals which all my angel fishes didn't brother. With a little stroke of luck and fishes all well feed they wouldn't like to nips on corals as food anymore lol..

Beautiful Regal angel, thanks to solo77 for this nice fish. I never used to like regal until recently when i saw a beautiful yellow belly in one of the LFS.

Nope.. the external temp controller from the chiller is good enough .

i didnt try that before, but i feel that the external controller for the chiller work better since it is design for it . The controller for the temperature would be good for setting the cut out of your lighting especially MH in the event of your chiller breaking down or to switch on your fan when temp rise too high ect...

Recently just try out this P04 remover from P04 X4 which claim to be much more effective in removing phosphate than other media ?

The media is rather smaller as compare to other P04 remover in the market, so i have to install a filter sock just in case it slip pass the mesh ..

First day of trying out my P04 drop from 50 to 9 on my Hanna tester !

Just replace my dymax PL light to a new LED PL light which i bought from oversea.. Interestingly the chaeto is still growing very well, and it is so bright now that i can see my external refuguim is fill with alot of Amphipod and other pods..
