Recently just try out this P04 remover from P04 X4 which claim to be much more effective in removing phosphate than other media ?

The media is rather smaller as compare to other P04 remover in the market, so i have to install a filter sock just in case it slip pass the mesh ..

First day of trying out my P04 drop from 50 to 9 on my Hanna tester !

I have been using PO4x4 since last year November and I can say it's very effective but downside is this tiny fellow will flow out of the FR and choke the sock  !

If you have any solution of stopping the tiny fellow out of the FR....pls let me know... .

Hi james, as show on the photo i use a small filter sock which i got from Madpetz for the output of the FR to prevent any spillage into the sump. The two DD FR is connected together using one pump ,one running Rowa and the other with the P04 X4.

2 days :ooh:

impressive skimmer

I think it got to do with the bio pallet as well. My N03 has been consistently been very low with the amount of fish i had now in my tank which is a miracle lol..

Hey bro, you shld b using low flowrate for the POX4, as long as the media is tumbling and not overflowing, it is ok.

You will noticed slower growth of diatom on glass for initial stage, i have topped another 50% of media according to tank capacity after 1st 2 weeks with no adverse effects. There maybe no signicant difference after tht as it will take some time to compensate for the large amount of phosphate in live rocks.

Finally some time to update my tank thread.. For the past few month , i make some changes / additional toys i had to my new tank which include adding a small Deltec calcium reactor to supplement on the 3 part, a new main pump, and a Kalk reactor .

This is the new pump which i got recently.. Was excited to see how the wave and random mode works. I had two main pump in my sump which is now this new Abyzz pump together with the Ehiem 1264. I tried running only the new Abyzz pump on wave and random mode, expecting to see a fluctuation in the water level in the sump tank going up and down, but surprising the fluctuation is almost unnoticeable.
