Beckett Air Silencer

Just got a Beckett skimmer, but it is quite noisy at the air intake, unless i cover half.

it does have screw thread at the air intake,so i believe there should be aftermarket silencer.

It's a bio-ocean beckett but the shop is no longer operating.

Seen Bro legendz1987's beckett and it does have one to screw on! Anyone knows where i can get one or any links for me to DIY one?

BTW, does an air silence effects the performance of the skimmer?I hope it is not like a car air intake!!!whereby the bigger air intake, the louder it goes!

Appreciate all help and advices given!

Push in a 1-2" length of airline tubing. That should lower the noise considerably.

if need be, place the airline tubing into a 1.5l bottle..

of cos without the cap...

the noise will be reduced much more..

that's what i'm doing for mine..
