terryansimon
I find that my sump input has a concentrated spot of water gushing down. would like to DIY a rainbar of sorts to spread the water over the entire tower itself. anything to watch out for? must I seal the ends of the pipe to which I'm gonna turn into a rainpipe? idea is to use a T joint to my sump input, and stick in a small pipe at the two ends. pipes will have holes obviously. oh yah another thing, will DIY drill holes for me? and what size holes should I go for? Sponsor dr evil Posted December 10, 2003 Sponsor Share Posted December 10, 2003 dont use end caps......the water will b trapped if the holes are too small. Im also using a T joint but i have cut a few holes at the bottom of it. Works well..........
terryansimon
I would think the T-joint is too small you see. oh so don't seal the ends? hmm okay good then can just let the water flow out. but wouldn't it gush out? I'm using a durso by the way...if that helps.
jhansolo
I have tried DIY drip plate using those rectangle disposable containers lid and cut holes in them using a hole puncher those used for leather belts. It works very well, you can vary the hole size in the middle with small ones and bigger ones on the sides. I figured, you want more even distribution, so encourage water to flow thru out instead of concentrate on the centre where the inled feed.
