Hey guys,

I had recently bought one of these and yes, I did it without doing research on it first. Its doing well, but I wanna make sure it is in the best environment/position.

1. It is a filter feeder + photosythesiser right? So filter feedeing plus good lighting would be great?

2. Is it advisable to put it in the path of strong water flow?

Durian coral is aka galaxy coral. They have very long and powerful sting which can really injure nearby coral, so care must be taken. Of course strong lighting is appreciate and occasional feeding of DT wil be good too. gentle to moderate current is needed to sway thier tentacle.

Well... dispar got it quite right.

Don't put them in too much current because they will cause their stinging tentacles to extend even further at night and you may be surprised to find a coral half way down your tank, well not really, maybe about 20cm away, getting stung by your galaxy coral.
