just wondering if the exposed wires should be a cause for concern?

May be the dc input connector is a concern but anyway...it's easily replaced So not much issue for me :whistle

some update but camera no good and skill too so can't really get the actual colour which is richer Monti starts turn to bluish from brown when I got it free from reefer. Yellow face zoa

After 18 months of running my LED lighting with success of growing birdnest, milli, zoa and other corals, I'm going to pursuit further by revamping my current one to widening the LED's color spectrum

I use to have some connectivity issue with the connectors on the light set.

So now I extend the wire out and have the connectors off the light set.

2 Jebao OW40, 1 ecotech MP40,
1X6085 Tunze wm,

1 CURVE 7 Skimmer

  1 DIY 80 led control by Bluefish mini 

1 radion XR30W G2, 2 Radion XR15G3

Sump area lite by 5 ft T5 , 6 * SSC 3 watt red LED for refugium

1 Full spectrum E27 led light

1 CR control by bubble count

Start No Water Change since 1st Dec 2016

Add new 2.5x2x 1.5 ft

Yap...will do the wire out if thing get worst.

Not many corals yet as previous SPS brown off due to my mistake of putting too near to the LED lighting. Now starts to recovering but no camera at the moment so will post after a few months later :eyebrow: !

This is something you can really see.

A saving in monthly your electrical bill.

And at the same same time help to reduce your contribution to

the carbon footprint

Did one SIMPLE 4x3W SSC Pure white LED for my sump and this time around using finned heatsink but no boxing up intention.

Time for Upgradingzzzzzzzzzzz.... :eyebrow: !

I'll be changing 6 of my SSC P4 3 watt Pure White LED to SSC P7 12 watt Pure White soon :eyebrow:

And expecting to increase about 45-50watt more compare to currently stage. If the result is good and not melt/breach my SPS or coral, may consider change all PW to SSC P7 too :pirate: .

All Stuff that i purchased from DealExtreme.com is on the way liao :yeah: !

Will post FTS of the current and upgraded lighting of my tank once completed and hopefully b4 this X'mas :whistle .

How do u compare the heat issue on the P7 with P4?

As usual, I'll use the Fluke wireless IR therometer to check the temperature and monitor it. The heat will increase but should not go super high lor or else may add Fin heatsink on top of the Alumi plate :rolleyes: .
