After breakfast check the tank .Found a pool of water on the tank floor.

So water from the filter chamber is leaking into the tank

So finally I decide to re silicon the chamber by myself.

I remove all the existing silicon and remove the filter chamber

Will just leaveit to cure and do a leak test tomorrow

Hi bro,

Have a tank same size as yours and pretty heavily stocked.

Such small tanks have big parameter shifts when u do any water changes so do be careful, unlike bigger tanks.

Changing your light to LED and adding a nano wavemaker would be ideal for your restart to control algae since u settled your leaking filter.

You're very patient with this product i would say. I would throw it out of the window if it leaks on me after 2 months.

What is your confidence level of keeping sps in the tank? I was thinking of adding some too, but if i do i would very strictly stick to aquacultured type.

With the light change to led and add one or 2 wavemaker(mini one very hard to find)

A algae scrubber and a peltier chiller I think should be able to keep SPS.

Just do a leak test by pouring water in at the chamber.

Failed.Leaking at the bottom right hand corner.

Need to check and resilicon that area again

Chiller investment and running cost is high.

fan bro! my 12g can go as low as 25 degree,mainting 27 degree using fan. top up rate very little too as i am not blowing directly into the tank, just over the tank as i shown you in the picture.

however hood must be taken away :x

maybe you can use my concept, hoodless, put the LED with leg on the tank, clip one fan on top. wala~~

Have a very cheap option, but must do it every 3-4 hours... u want??

Throw in 2 500ML-bottle of ice into your tank. Confirm super cheap.

Bottle recycle from your drink, water from tap and freeze in your fridge... haha....

I even thinking of using methane and other stuff, as the fluid to be freeze... but worry if the container pop.... there goes the chemical into your water... so discard this crazy idea.......

Went down Sim Lim Tower just now.

No second hand cooling items.

New one only.

And never sell separate .Have to get full set

Today go Sim Lim Square and Sim Lim Tower

Manage to get a peltier

I get a 12VDC 5 A type

So need a DC 12 v 8 A power supply unit.

The metal casing industrial type is very expensive

Around S$50

So cross the road and go Sim Lim Square

Get a PC power supply unit.

Most can supply 12 VDC 18 A

Only S$18

Save S$32

Next shop from 6th floor to 3 rd floor for 2nd hand water

cool radiator and water block.

Cannot find any.Only new one and only sell as a package.

Cannot buy individual component

So in the end get a 2nd hand CPU air cool heat exchanger

For now should be able to do testing of the thermoelectric

cooler
