My main tank is 2ft by 1.5ft by 1.5ft.

Sump tank also 2ft by 1.5ft by 1.5ft.

Return height about 3.5ft.

What would be a suitable return pump?

I was thinking of using weipro 3000.

Izzit ok?

I am gonna use a small hailea (3w, 285l/h) for circulation in main tank.

Also, would a weipro 2011 protein skimmer be sufficient?

Many Many :thanks::bow:

3.5ft on a Weipro? zhun bo?

I currently running Hailea 6530, 1750l/h, 50w.

I not good at placing the return flow.

So end up with quite uneven circulation.

Planing to use small powerheads to enhance circulation.

Weipro 3000 flowrate higher than Hailea 6530 but less watt which i am going for.

But dunno can anot.

less watts =/= cheaper in the long run.

it probably means it has a lesser ability to deliver up a taller height. best is to get an Eheim or an AquaBee if you can afford it. seriously.

a cheap pump may be cheap, but if it can't push up water efficiently, what for waste the money in procuring the equipment in the first place?

But Weipro 3000 flowrate is 2,300l/h right?

My Hailea 6530 only 1,750l/h.

So Weipro 3000 not as good as Hailea 6530?

What should be the recommended flowrate for my return pump if get other brands?

Sorry for so many questions.

Thanks.

I am using Ehiem 1200 l/h but I am finding the flow rate a little low for my 3 ft tank. However I borrow and try the 2400 l/h Ehiem pump and the main tank overflow because the draining to the sump cannot cope up. Wonder how the experts here would overcome such imbalance. I am using the 1/2 inch tank adaptor and standpipe and that seem to be the bottleneck.
