julescity
I've been reading the wonderful traps that reefers here have devised to trap and remove pesky fish. I'm wondering has anyone had any luck using traps to 'save' silly fish that have swum/jumped into the overflow compartment...or better yet, let me know what's a sure-fire way to nab them out of the overflow... SRC Member big_ben102000 Posted July 8, 2009 SRC Member Share Posted July 8, 2009 i use a small net which fits into my overflow and attach it to a long rod to fish them out. i have to flood my overflow compartment before i do that though. can try using egg crate or smth similiar to block the entrance of the overflow to prevent fishes from jumping in. SRC Member MbmC Posted July 8, 2009 SRC Member Share Posted July 8, 2009 I've had to fish my fish out of the overflow on many many occasions. Wrasses love to jump. I always do it after lights out. The fish go to sleep, and are sluggish. Very easy to fish them out with any net
