Live rock's coraline algae turning white

Hey reefers, currently cycling my tank and some of my live rocks coraline algae are turning white.

What could be the reason? Blue lights are on only for 6hrs.

bro... it's going to take quite awhile... suspect your calcium level is very low.

if you want quick-fix, can get the caribsea - purple up.

besides, your lights are not turn on long enough...

it maybe due to the low KH,mg and ca level in your water.. You can rise these up after you have finish cycling your tank by dosing.

Coraline algae will start to grow back once your water stabilize with these level and lighting.
