ph reading from ph meter not accurate

the reading of my saltwater is at 4. something seems to go wrong but everything is growing well and fine and i use those ph strip test is showing at around 8. but when i dip my probe into fresh water is reading around 7

can anyone tell me what is happeing here

mine is the non pen type one

either re-caliberation, or a spoilt probe.

but if spoilt how come still have the correct reading in fresh water but not in my tank

do a proper test on your marine water first.

tap water reading might not be ph 7.

Try recalibrate your sensor like the rest have suggested.

bro my tap water reading is 9.4

Tap water is not accurate cos of the chemicals in it. Its rarely 7.
