electricity bill for chiller

hi , im new here . im intending to get a chiller for my 4x2x2 ft tank , sump 3x1.5x1.5 . can someone recommend me how much horse power shall i get and abt how much the electricity bill for the chiller for 1 month . thanx

what lights are you intending to use?if you have 2 x 250w mh,a 1 or 1/2 hp will do...just a rough gauge

I'm using 2x150W MH and a 1hp chiller. bill's up about $50 to $70 a month. only 3 months lah but this is the average i see.

Think about $30 or less for the 2x150W MHlight and 1/2 HP chiller

I on from 5:30pm - 11:30pm daily, cost me additional of

$20+ a month, add chiller will easily another $20-30.

Looking at extra of $50 increase.

u never mention on using MH.....how many watts u looking at??300watt?500watt?1000watt?

that is the killer compare to chiller........

my teco is only 400watt......will not consume must as it is not activate all the time!!

I only know the prices in KL for example

1.Weipro 2011-RM$100

2.Weipro 2012-RM$110

3.Cheapest live rock RM#4.50 a kilo

etc,etc,etc

but in Malaysia we don't have so much choice when it comes to marine equipment.

Got a lot.But the small shops tend to sell cheaper compare to the big one.
