An all clam tank. Will it work?

I've been thinking. An all clam tank, shallow, occupying a good part of the tank bottom.

No sand, no rocks. Just water and clams.

Maxima, squamosa mainly. Crocea's too demanding.

Strong lights, with a chiller to moderate.

A calcium reactor, probably phosphate reducer.

No food supplement.

Will it work?

I believe it will work. How about adding some rocks because maxima prefers to be on rocks.

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.

You will probably get bored later and change to something else.
