ok i have decided to join in the fun and get tunze 9005 instead and join in the fun of Aquamedia vs Deltec vs Tunze lol ,

gonna go get it today.

anyway end of the day i do so much water changes it doesnt need to go to the extend of spending too much on a skimmer for my Q-tank , i think 300+ is comfortable

ok for sure i never regret my decision, install at 1830hrs and at 1930 it is skimming with nice dark and dry foam head already, pics will be posted tomorow

deltec mce500 or 600? currently using mce600, i would say it is a good skimmer except the collection cup is too small. will be keeping a lookout for your mystery equipment....hehe

That's because skimmer good mah... so must empty cup more often... Btw wad's ur air tap angle??

arn 2 o'clock i notice if i open too small there will be too much water vs air so micro bubbles start going into the tank , so i open until i hear the hissing sound from the valve then adjust cup to what type of foam i want but now i doing hypo treatment on my quarantine tank so the mce become a expensive air pump since salinity is too low now so cant foam

Just "restarted" mine (meaning off pump) and within 15 mins a thin layer of formed foam was climbing up the collection cup liao... Deltec rocks...
